MUX Vst : What do you need?

Just to be clear, im making a ton of feature requests but I dont feel at all entitles to having them implemented and no expectation of a time table. Just whatever seems like a good idea to me I'll still suggest and if it helps Jo in any way, either the idea itself or the +1 to what he may have planned, then great
I understand and appreciate that he is working pretty much solo. No pressure intended from my end! And no need to directly respond to me either. Actually I am hoping other users chime on when I post to help fine tune and when necessary shoot down my Fr's.

Same here braj. I just see it as a good place to throw out ideas and see what others think. And nothing wrong in bumpin' this thread either!
Right now i feel mux is 110% functional and enjoyable .. in fact it's probably up to 160% and rising for everything new i discover

Yeah thanks for your good understanding guys, much appreciated!
About the MUX front panels: Yes it's indeed the intention to give the MUX front panels much more flexibility. That's one of the challenges of the next main version

I did not yet start on MuLab 5 / MUX 2 so i can't answer the question yet.sellyoursoul wrote:Yay, Mux is released! I'm getting off the Reason train to nowhere and going for Mux. I have one question, though. I tend to use sampling more than synthesis, and I'm wondering at what point in development do you expect to implement round robin for sampling?
Edit: After reading another thread about pushy feature requests, let me say that this post isn't one of them. I seem to remember reading that round robin would be implemented in the future, and I'm just wondering if it is on the list for the current version.
What's very next in MuTools land:
- Further spread the MUX Vst release news.
- Some necessary physical and mental recup as it were some tough months, 7/7 16/24, no holidays.
- R&D multi-core support.
- Design MuLab 5 and the next MUX generation.

Just to add to the wish list, if you still call it just a list
A little on/off toggle thing somewhere on the modules, useful during design time rather then opening too many windows....
And if make sense to others as well.
Wish #17344...

on the little module you mean? instead of opening it and hit the green circle? Yeah, that could be useful indeed!liquidsound wrote:Just to add to the wish list, if you still call it just a list![]()

While speaking of on/off ... having this parametable would be cool! That way you could have multiple effects in one supermulti effect but for instance only turning an effect on when parameter <1 (so when you start to add gain or mix in the effect, it would turn on)

In MuSynth there are already little green on/off switches so somehow i would guess the code is there and could be implemented without too much fuss. You CAN alt-click right now which I find very handy. But radio buttons would be nicer definitely.

I was thinking in terms to Turn Off and Block the signal path. Now it's just a ByPass, but after some experimentation it has a very little real usage.
So never mind Wish #17344

Just FYI: You can also double-click the connection cables themselves and they all have a mute switch, so you can mute signals

the modulation cables also has the same functions as the modulation mapper (though not assignable to parameters and somewhat easy to forget haha)

Actually a 'full off' would be useful for me, I like to make MUX with a few arps in one plug, and enable/disable them as I need. Some if you disable them they will let the normal signal back through and you end up with an arp playing plus additional notes. A simple full-kill switch would be nice for me. But there may be other ways to resolve this in the architecture of the presets I'm making.liquidsound wrote:Sorry.liquidsound wrote:Just to add to the wish list, if you still call it just a list![]()

The double click on the cable does just that. Stop the flow as if the cable was deleted.braj wrote:Actually a 'full off' would be useful for me, I like to make MUX with a few arps in one plug, and enable/disable them as I need. I think you mean a button or similar to be used for the custom panel. Yes that is useful while recording as well.

Yeah, a button to mute the flow, same as double-clicking the cableliquidsound wrote:The double click on the cable does just that. Maybe there could be a solution without a UI change, right now alt-click disables a plugin but doesn't mute it, possibly adding another modifier to 'mute' it would work? or does it have to be done specifically on the cable?
