ZHZ and Z2 skins are different, you cannot use them interchangeably.

Hm... I can't reproduce this hereLFO8 wrote: I absolutely LOVE it! Now, was this just for the Zebra HZ or can it be used for Zebra as well? Because I have renamed the script to Zebra2 so it would load in regular Zebra (I don't have Dark Zebra), but I see some things aren;t working the way it should. For instance; assigning a Global Lfo to a parameter opens up the regular LFO pane instead of the Global Lfo one.
I guess you have the 'auto-scroll' feature enable in Zebra. When enabled it scrolls the rack to the module that is currently being used.bmrzycki wrote: 1. mousewheel up/down on some of the matrix knobs cause the modulators to scroll up and down (Take Batpunk Seq+ and mousewheel on the first Env1 knob in the Matrix).
Confirmed. I broke something herebmrzycki wrote: I also am unable to enable/disable lane compressors. When I highlight the box at the top it lights up but doesn't engage the compressor. The only way I figured out how to do it is to switch to the Original skin, enable it, switch back to Redux.

Hmm.. must have been a patch issue. I have tried it again now and now it works...
wish there was a way to hide the Diva Filter though...
Now how about that lovely gradient colors for the different modules you showed me earlier?

Right again! Thanks for that. It doesn't seem to save my preference for scrolling across loads though even when I choose "make default". I'm guessing this is a bug with Zebra/HZ though.drzhnn wrote:I guess you have the 'auto-scroll' feature enable in Zebra. When enabled it scrolls the rack to the module that is currently being used.

Wow. Great update. All the issues I was having earlier are fixed and I love the UDH version.
I've been using this for a few days and while I think this is generally a step in the right direction, I don't quite understand the module labels (DIVA, OSC, etc.). At first I thought this was a way to organize where certain modules wound up in the stack. But, it appears that I can move the labels apart from the modules by using the Zebra click between the modules trick (the exception to this is the DIVA label which stubbornly stays at the top even though I'd like it to be at the bottom). This makes for a very strange arrangement where the label can actually be apart from the modules it describes. I guess my question is: what was your thinking with these labels? My next question is: do we need them? They take up a lot of room. Sometimes I like the idea and other times I feel like they're in the way. I'm not sure what I think about them, so I wanted to ask you why you decided to add them.
I also have run into a bug. I've got a problem over here when I select "selected on top" for the generator section on the left and then click on a module in the main grid. I get the spinning beach ball of death and have to force quit logic x (10.1.1). This is 100% repeatable and I don't get the same behavior with the original theme.
As always, thank you for all your hard work drzhnn. I really hope I don't sound like some ungrateful guy who's getting a fabulous theme for nothing and then bitching about it. I'm happy to have something like this no matter how you decide to approach it. I'm just throwing out my observations and ideas in the interest of giving you some feedback. Thanks again!

Thanks a lot for your feedback! Honestly, I was hoping to see more comments/bug reports/requests from people who use this version
The labels are indeed just to organize modules into groups. I personally don't use UDH version with its color coded module backgrounds, so I was looking for a different way to simplify navigation in complex presets. Originally, I wanted these labels to show up only when at least one module of the group is in use, otherwise hide them. For some reason I thought I knew how to do that. But it turned out I didn't
Same with moving labels around. I'm almost certain I was able to lock them in place at some point. But then I forgot how I did that
So I figured I'd just keep this feature as is for now and see if people like it or not.
You see, there are so many different ways things interact with each other in the script file, I practically can't track more than one simple feature at a time. I have to keep all the possible after-effects in short memory while I'm trying something new. If I started working on a task I have to complete it in one go, otherwise I won't be able to remember all the details later and I would have to revert all changes and start over again. It's almost like a game when you can save your progress only in the beginning of each level

Plus when auto Scroll is selected t does not always scroll the the right module right away when you click on a module in the matrix. You have to click on the module in the matrix again and then it does.scoplunk wrote:I also have run into a bug. Thanks! Yes, I broke something here.LFO8 wrote:Plus when auto Scroll is selected t does not always scroll the the right module right away when you click on a module in the matrix. You have to click on the module in the matrix again and then it does.
BTW, I found how to disable the scrolling behaviour completely. This will turn off "auto-scroll", "selected on top" and "highlight selected module" features. Would this be interesting to anybody?

I like the idea of the labels being hidden until needed. Since I use the UDH theme, I'm aware of the colors as a form of organization, but a module won't necessarily wind up in a group with others of the same type. This is one of the things I like about your concept. I like to have all the oscillators together and the filters together. But, I suppose other people might want the order to be the same as the lane order or something completely different.drzhnn wrote:The labels are indeed just to organize modules into groups. Sometimes it bothers me that it can be difficult to get Zebra to maintain an order for the modules, but to be honest, it seems that as long as I have auto scroll on, the inconvenience is more in my perception than in reality. I can get things done pretty efficiently one way or the other.
Still, I like your idea of being able to organize with the labels, it's just that I can imagine that everyone will have a slightly different approach to the way they want the modules organized and I don't think it's customizable, is it? And, if it was customizable, that would pretty much make it necessary to have those labels visible all the time so that the order could be changed and that goes against the idea of having them hidden until a module of that type is used. Also, there would have to be some way to save the customization.
Anyway, I'm up for experimentation. Keep it the way it is and let everyone try it for awhile. It would be nice if moving the labels also moved the attached modules and I wouldn't mind if the Diva filter moved to the bottom, since it's always visible and taking up space at the top even when it isn't being used. I also am using this theme in Z2, so the Diva filter module will always be useless there.
Yes, this is why I'm so happy that you're willing to do all of this hard work! Nothing about this looks simple. A big thanks again!drzhnn wrote:You see, there are so many different ways things interact with each other in the script file, I practically can't track more than one simple feature at a time.
