Yep, I'll add a page of examples. I thought the "mantra" might suffice, but obviously not.oli67 wrote:thanks @Urs, @beely, got it. I think the manual could be improved at section 2.11 to explain this potentially with examples.

Bad idea. MIDI-learning the mod wheel instantly "corrupts" all presets that already use mod wheel.Ingonator wrote:You could also use the built-in MIDI Learn feature.beely wrote:Sure, just use the mod matrix to the right of the keyboard, and route mod wheel to filter cutoff.Sound Author wrote:Is there a way to route Mod Wheel directly to filter cutoff instead of having the mod wheel determine the depth of LFO modulation?

Just tried the built-in "Sonic Conditioner" FX and that one seems to help with too quiet patches. Almost no additional CPU used by this FX.pdxindy wrote:Use Limiter Gain...Ingonator wrote:With certain more "soft" patches even at maximum mixer volumes and maximum main volume those are still a bit too quiet, at least they do no reach a state were they do clip when seting the mixer at the host track to a 0dB level.
Would it be possible to add some additional gain somewhere, mybe in the preferences? Maybe something like +3dB, +6dB and +9 dB (while mostly +6 dB should be enough).
With Diva i never seemed to have the problem that it is too quiet.

Please turn it on and be inspired by Echophon and Erbe-verb. I really miss something like that in software.Urs wrote:I've a resolution to not switch my Make Noise Shared System on until Repro is finally released.GruvSyco wrote:(damn modular addiction).

Anyway using the mod matrix seems to work to route the Modwheel to Cutoff (or other parameters) which was what someone had asked here.
Midi Learn would work too but like Howard mentioned that would be used for all patches while browsing through them and could cause probemss with patches that already use the Modwheel in the mod section at the left of the GUI.

For simplicity, preset names are filenames in our stuff. We have to adhere to file naming conventions on all platforms. Apostrophes, like +, &, ? and what not have given us a hard time when saved on Mac and transferred to PC. So we're "underscoring them out".Funkybot's Evil Twin wrote:Maybe a bug, maybe just a current limitation of the preset system, could even be the OS (Windows here) but apostrophe's don't show up correctly. Example: I name a preset LEAD - Let's Go Sync and it turns into Lead - Let_s Go Sync. Would be nice if these showed up in the browser as written.
OTOH we're going to do a lot of changes to preset browsing, it's possible that our next iteration of preset handling might allow for apostrophes.
Yeah, hmmm, I got held up in specs for bucket brigade delays, I guess my head was somewhere else. I could have done that but didn't do it. I could probably still do the frequency in the EQ. Todo list before release is exceptionally long though, it might not happen quickly. Also any chance of getting delay time values or (note values) to appear in Lyrebird? Same request for things like the frequency in the EQ.
(We might have a big clean up one day where we do this for all such parameters in all our plug-ins at one go)

Wait, aren't those available as plug-ins from Tom Erbe's Soundhack project? Not inside a patchable environment though.orebronerd wrote:Please turn it on and be inspired by Echophon and Erbe-verb. No worries though. Just look at Jaws. I couldn't resist sneaking a West Coast module into Repro-1. It's introducing the sonic aestethics of wavefolding-based additive synthesis and a hunch of function generators to the Uhniverse. There'll be more.
