It's still the same issue with the Waves Plugins. Ui scrambled and unusable. What's wrong. In 11.1.0 it works fine. Sorry, but it's annoying, to go back to 11.1.0 over and over again

Two weeks into using Waveform 11 free. First synth crash was uHe Tyrell. It caused the playhead to not move. Now last night tried Surge synth. It has crashed several times. Waveform works but synth doesn't. Would post the reports , but I haven't figured how to do the those yet.

It's probably a good idea to post as many specs as you can. Lots of Windows or Mac or Linux users here. Multiple Waveform versions (some beta, some older copies). Various versions of Tyrell and Surge being run.

I think it was my mistake in not loading the correct vst version. I just downloaded Zebralette, and installed only the 64 vst file and the data and presets and it is working fine. I have an old pc which I have Ableton 8 , I think on, and I just hate to spend money on anything right now...may have a tax issue, and kind of went overboard on some guitar purchases, a bit. Maybe a bit more , than just a bit, so I'm in really freaked out state of mind right now. Only reason I even got back mixing is a friend of mine, seems to be getting some crazy activity on his rap songs, and asked me to make him some decent rap tracks without vocals. And I've never got the hang of doing rolling hats, and by some miracle of some music God, all of a sudden I've gotten the hang of the rolls for some reason, using this damn program, that has been crashing repeatedly. Have really beautiful ableton rack, with handpicked plugins over three years time, free and paid...and the pisser is I never could get a decent rolling hat with Ableton, and now with this free program, I do. The crashes are driving me nuts. All I wanted to do is get him some beats, because I said I would. Should have kept my mouth shut. Sorry for the rant.

Was it the VST3 version of TyrellN6? The installer notes says that it tends to be flaky.

I let it install all of them as checked. I might have the download file and try it again. For now the Zebralette is fine. It sounds really beautiful. More than enough knobs to twist. The Surge is also working ok. If I leave Waveform open all night , then it crashes.

Waveform 11.5.0 Subtractive immediately crashes with some presets. For example "Airplane in the Air". Tested on Windows 10 and KDE Neon with old and new types of engines.

Yep, same here. Tried a sampling of a few other default ones, and all seemed to work well, Airplane in the Air crashes as soon as one plays one note on it's virtual keyboard with the mouse.

Interestingly, if you load it and DON'T actually play a note and then load another (non-locking?) patch, then Subtractive is fine. Default initial playing point in some samples out of bounds ?

"Airplane in the Air" crashes engine with simultaneously unmuted Osc 2 and Osc 3 or Osc 4. Other combinations like 2+1, 1+3+4, 3+4 works well.
"Tropical Keys" have the same behavior.

Just trying Waveform 11 free....plugin alliance vst's (or most of them) have no preset option, searched for answer but can't find one, either with PA or Traction....any ideas? Win10 64bit thanks

got it.....lower left traction task bar wrench symbol has menu for selecting the presets and other parameters

11.5.1 seems to have cleared up the issues with Subtractive. No more shutdown to desktop.

This is an issue with some of the latest Waves plugins themselves. Waves is blaming it on the use of unsupported and "older versions" of DAWs which apparently can't handle some fancy technique they are using now to draw the interfaces - it is being discussed on the Waves forums: https://forum.waves.com/t/plug-ins-gui- ... wn/2148/20

I call their excuse laziness, but sadly it doesn't sound like they are likely to fix this anytime soon.
