Yes it is. It has a number of the original 2.3 presets included.

With some help I was able to get the dead spit of the wave choir sound used by Robert Schroder.

If you want the closest thing to a PPG I think it's it. Generally I've been able to get closer to that sound than using say the Microwave 1.
Got it! Excellent :D
Thanks OP :tu:

For free plugins, I would get "J37 Tape or Infected Mushroom Pusher or Abbey Road Vinyl or API 550" instead of Kramer Tape.

H Reverb is awesome by the way, good choice. :tu:

It cost you 1 token for this brilliant (i have it) sample pack. Actually it's one of my favourite sample packs i've heard.
It costs $ 27,49 (inl. loc. VAT)
If that’s same as 1 token, I would be surprized.

Thanks for the heads up. I am mostly interested in the individual hits and the Kontakt sampler instruments. Are they useful on their own without the loops?

No problem. I would say yes the individual hits are nice. I haven't used the Kontakt instruments.

Roman Wisniak wrote: Wed Dec 02, 2020 6:35 pm Beware, don't buy Waldorf PPG Wave 3.V. It's completely useless abandonware. Presets are garbage and boring.
There're NKS presets but... are not working at all. ;)
Worst spent money for softsynth ever.
really? I was sort of looking at is as I really like Largo.
Largo is a good one. PPG Wave 3.V on the other hand is more of an acquired taste. I have to admit that I never got it either. Was the first synth I ever uninstalled. You probably need to have a certain tolerance towards the quirks of the of the original hardware in order to be able to appreciate it.
Hmm. maybe I might skip PPG then. I wound up checking the Lector demo while looking at that site today. Lector sounds amazing. Hope that goes of sale. I aint paying $100 for it.

https://audioplugin.deals/lector-a-trem ... y-waldorf/
It was on sale for $35 in September so I'm sure it will come around again
Yup! An acquired taste indeed. But it has the PPG sound which is old school digital. I worked with it in the eighties and there are most definitely some of those sounds in this box. If that is what you are after then it's a really good deal.
It's based on a classic so why would you call it abandonware when there's nothing to change?
I just bought it. My first impression is it's great! :D

Me too. I did Pendulate OSC. I wouldn't have bought Generate for $100. I thought Eventide/Newfangled wouldn't mind.

Me neither. It's something refreshing and lovely chaotic... But not 100€ refreshing.
Just hitting randomize and waiting for something useful is quite working. Already started 2 track ideas with it :tu:
