It cost you 1 token for this brilliant (i have it) sample pack. Actually it's one of my favourite sample packs i've heard.
If that’s same as 1 token, I would be surprized.

I think most of the 1 reward point sample packs are around that price. I checked a few at random and they were.Harry_HH wrote: Thu Dec 03, 2020 1:25 pm

Plugin Boutique and Loopmasters are owned by the same company.

Do they honor pricing errors?...

That's interesting. Is the Microwave 1 still worth getting? They sell for ludicrous prices these days.ChamomileShark wrote: Thu Dec 03, 2020 11:25 am If you want the closest thing to a PPG I think it's it. Generally I've been able to get closer to that sound than using say the Microwave 1.

I bought mine when early digital was still relatively cheap. Now I see them go for nearly 3 times what I paid.Uncle E wrote: Thu Dec 03, 2020 7:41 pmThat's interesting. Frankly, I wouldn't pay that. They are getting on and in my limited experience when early digital goes wrong it's often hard for a tech to diagnose and then fix.
Add to that you need probably to spend out for a software editor because they aren't very easy to program from the front panel and again in my limited experience the sound editors for that generation of equipment even though it may be quite new are much more prone to crashes and are generally harder to work with than the editors I have for my modern stuff.
If I were coming at this anew I'd probably go for a Blofeld if I wanted the hardware.
A long time ago I did some demos (not really a comparison) between the Waldorf PPG Wave 3V, the Microwave 1 and my modular that includes some of the waves from the PPG and plays it back via 8bit wavetable technologies (the Wiard Miniwave).

Your Microwave 1 example sounds great! However, I hear what you're saying and will skip it unless a great deal comes around.ChamomileShark wrote: Thu Dec 03, 2020 11:11 pm A long time ago I did some demos (not really a comparison) between the Waldorf PPG Wave 3V, the Microwave 1 and my modular that includes some of the waves from the PPG and plays it back via 8bit wavetable technologies (the Wiard Miniwave).

Rockhopper is wrong. I just got it with one token from PB and it is the full library with wav loops and wav percussion hits, as well as REX files and instruments for Kontakt, HALION, etc. Looks like the full meal deal.Spring Goose wrote: Thu Dec 03, 2020 2:59 pm Rockhopper says it's just the REX files and Kontakt instruments from PB. It says different, but i haven't tried it on PB because i already have it.

I used the Microwave 1 excessively in the nineties and it was one of my (until today) absolute favourite synthesizers!
Wonderful assertive leadsounds and mega fat basses! Actually you could get almost everything out of it.
Unfortunately we didn't have a programmer at that time, so it was hard work but it had been worth it...
My question: is there a real Microwave 1 plugin on the market?

I don't think so. There have been a number of Reaktor ensembles called Microwave (plus NIs own Nanowave) but they are just approximations. I can't remember if UVI included the Microwave 1 in their Waverunner but again it would be samples and no modelled filter.paolostylo wrote: Fri Dec 04, 2020 7:44 am I used the Microwave 1 excessively in the nineties and it was one of my (until today) absolute favourite synthesizers!

There is now an ok editor. If you are interested PM me and I'll share the details - some of which I don't want to put in the public domain.

A bit off topic, but in a short period of time I've had 2 potential buyers show interest in buying Studio One 5 Pro and completely ignore me after I respond with how to proceed. One specifically wanted to pay without the goods and services so I said that I'd take the fee and that he should use it. Never had something like this before, anyone else experienced the same thing and should I worry about it?

Thanks for the update. I'm glad I was wrong, I was just going by the description. I appreciate your correction. I'm going to get it now!courtjestr wrote: Fri Dec 04, 2020 6:48 amRockhopper is wrong. I guess they're writing to multiple sellers at the same time and just picking the best deal for them and then being kinda rude not to cancel the deal afterwards.Vleker wrote: Fri Dec 04, 2020 1:27 pm A bit off topic, but in a short period of time I've had 2 potential buyers show interest in buying Studio One 5 Pro and completely ignore me after I respond with how to proceed. Aye, it does sound a bit odd, Ive never had that. I think you've just been unlucky, maybe something to do with Black Friday too.Vleker wrote: Fri Dec 04, 2020 1:27 pm A bit off topic, but in a short period of time I've had 2 potential buyers show interest in buying Studio One 5 Pro and completely ignore me after I respond with how to proceed.
