I think this is correct. My UVI products were purchased through a reseller and they provide a coupon that gives a 100% discount when "buying" it again from UVI. So all my stuff is registered there with 0,00€ value and that's why I suspect I didn't get any voucher.SolarAxix wrote: Tue Jan 05, 2021 6:20 pm While I'm not 100% sure, I believe the UVI loyalty voucher is based on products purchased directly through the UVI website itself.
Anyone only purchase items through resellers and received a loyalty voucher?

That's exactly what will happen now, if VAT isn't paid beforehand and the correct custom document isn't filled in on the package then the postal carrier will sort it out for you at customs and then bill you for it, so it's the VAT on the item + the carrier fee for processing itcprompt wrote: Tue Jan 05, 2021 7:10 pm if you buy a hardware device from IK (eg Axe I/O) then although you won't pay VAT on it when you buy it, Fedex will claim the VAT when it comes in to the UK. But software... who knows what's happening there.

Has Toontrack offered a discount on "Superior Drummer 3" or "Superior Drummer 3 Crossgrade from EZdrummer 2" in the past?
I dismissed the thought of considering Superior Drummer 3 earlier, but it looks amazingly powerful and the included library sounds excellent. The only problems are price and hard drive space. If it goes on sale, I might reconsider it.
(Do we need to install the entire 240 GB or so content or we can do it in parts as needed?
EDIT: Never mind. Found the answer here: https://www.toontrack.com/faq/1311697-2/)
Might be a long stretch even at discount, but just something to gossip about while I am doing some boring office work.

Rarely if ever. Even the upgrade offer from Superior Drummer 2 was limited-time-only. I wouldn't count on seeing any significant discount anytime soon. It does come up for sale second-hand sometimes (license transfers are allowed), and that's probably the only way to get it much less than MSRP.LoveEnigma18 wrote: Wed Jan 06, 2021 4:17 am Has Toontrack offered a discount on "Superior Drummer 3" or "Superior Drummer 3 Crossgrade from EZdrummer 2" in the past?

Thank you. Makes sense. I think the best way for me, then, would be to get a second-hand license of "Superior Drummer 3 Crossgrade", as I already have EZdrummer 2. No hurry though. I will allow myself a good amount of time to decide on this just to make sure I am not getting carried away.Ceej wrote: Wed Jan 06, 2021 6:46 amRarely if ever. Hi ir99, thank you for the suggestion. I did see this topic today. Unfortunately, I am not quite ready for it yet. If the cost involved was <$100, I would have jumped straightaway. But since it is a bit expensive (especially after BF and NY purchases, which were very few but still significant cost wise), I want to first make sure that I really need SD3. My main intention was to evaluate the best options to buy SD3, which right now seems to be second-hand market only.ir99 wrote: Wed Jan 06, 2021 9:15 amHi LoveEnigma, does this help you?:LoveEnigma18 wrote: Wed Jan 06, 2021 8:51 amThank you. That is by far the best drum software, totally worth the investment. I didn’t installed some extra mics to save hard drive space.LoveEnigma18 wrote: Wed Jan 06, 2021 10:02 amHi ir99, thank you for the suggestion. I did see this topic today. Yeah, and the ability to load your own samples makes it even more powerful. After reading the download size FAQ, I also thought if I were to get it I would only install Basic Sound Library and Room Mics 1, which should hopefully be much less than 100 GB. It all comes down to affordability right now.

Toontrack SD3 is one of the best investments I ever made, totally outshines all the other drum options ... which I have most of (BFD3, Steven Slate Drums, NI Abbey Road, etc, etc). While you're at it, make a huge SSD drive to buy expansions a priority ... its worth it. And buy some MIDI 6 packs choose your own too ... many well worth it.
SD3 was easily the best purchase I made for real acoustic drum samples and creative flexibility, wish I had done it years earlier.
