agree with all you said except this. I think there are better value options, would especially recommend waiting for a Groove Monkee 50% off sale (several times a year) and buying some of their bundles instead.

Agree with Groove Monkey midi as a great value (also oddgrooves). You can also import midi from other sources you may own too into SD3.

The value in Toontrack midi is all the extra meta data for searching and sorting is already there. With over 10,000+ midi files its a time saver. Plus buying them in groups of 6 brings the per pack price down ... and sometimes deals for less.

I wonder if these MIDI files could be used in EZkeys.

That is by far the best drum software, totally worth the investment.
+1
Toontrack SD3 is one of the best investments I ever made, totally outshines all the other drum options ... which I have most of (BFD3, Steven Slate Drums, NI Abbey Road, etc, etc). While you're at it, make a huge SSD drive to buy expansions a priority ... its worth it. And buy some MIDI 6 packs choose your own too ... many well worth it.

SD3 was easily the best purchase I made for real acoustic drum samples and creative flexibility, wish I had done it years earlier.
Thanks for your opinion and suggestion. I think this is why Toontrack won't discount Superior Drummer 3, at least not by a good amount. SD3 will be on the wishlist this year.

I think this needs a correction. I noticed that the sale is FINISHED on 21st.
I noticed that 20th January is the last day of the sale ergo in the usual lingo the sale is "till the 20th" not 21st. (till the last day of the sale)

Cheers for the "heads up" about the sale though. I enjoyed looking at the sale although i probably won't buy something this time. I was interested about Padshop 2.

Yeah fair enough, I fixed it - was keeping an eye on it as I was hoping to upgrade Padshop Pro - which I have done now that they’ve introduced the discount for upgrades also

Hopefully things get sorted. Europe could lose a lot of revenue. Think of the produce from the Med that the UK relies on, tomatoes, oranges, the list goes on.

This is about deliveries going the other way.

Yes, Europe is going to miss deliveries of our cynicism and hopelessness

I'm wondering what has happened to my replacement Streichfett that despite buying from Digital Village in the UK comes from their German parent company, MusicStore. I thought DV247 had a big warehouse in Romford.

sigh.

If it was returned to be fixed you're probably a victim of the turnaround time of them trying to send it to Waldorf and get it back

No, replaced. The order for the replacement went in immediately when I called DV247 to tell them it wasn't working properly on arrival.

I haven't really used them since the one shop in Southampton shut when they went tits up. I think that one store they have left in Romford is really just a show pony for a largely online European operation.
