They have announced receiving over a million dollars of further funding, so they should be good for a while.

And if they've figured the market right these things are going to be bigger than hula hoops! [You _do_ remember hula hoops, don't you?]

Agreed - it's a definite possibility the company has got its marketing position wrong and go under. The YRG's that do get out into the wild will then start to command silly prices on eBay in a couple of years.

Of course, it's not our place to tell these guys what to do, but my advice was, if you want one, get in reasonably early or you may just miss the boat.

Has anybody seen the new Rock Band 3 instruments? Supposedly this iteration of RB will feature guitars that have MIDI capabilities and could possibly challenge YRG's early lead for who has the hippest toy/instrument.

I think I will order in the next couple of days. The temperamental internet here is so slow checking the demos though.

I don't think they would be challenged that much
the madcatz guitars seems alot like the gamebridge
which use an different technology.
But I do think people will be more interested in playing
with a midi guitar , and there I think yourock will be leading
cause of all the cool functions, but let's wait and see :)

Very cool. I hope the midi out is as accurate as the internally tracked sounds.

Just spoke to Doug who gave me some instructions for those of us who has yet to receive a call or e-mail.
Inspired, has found they can not access the accounts of those of us who placed orders longer then 30 day ago. For those, it was advised that you call Doug's answering machine at;
949-954-5370
- leave your -
- name
- order number
- type of credit (visa, so on)
- card number, expiration date, security code on card back if you have one
- phone number

This info should be enough so Doug can immediately ship to any pre-order holder.(USA)

Have you guys seen the new Unboxing 2 video on YouTube?

Wow! For an under $200 device, this looks like it may track amazingly well. Could it finally be that there is an affordable MIDI guitar controller for the masses? I am very intrigued by this.

Could we please hold off on any more negative speculation filling up space here, until this can actually be given a fair run through?

which is what im waiting for. can someone describe how apt this thing is at controlling vstis? thanks

I finally gave up waiting for a phone call and called. I talked to Doug.

Doesn't sound like they're going in order of pre-order, it sounds more like a free for all. If you call and confirm your credit card, you get in the shipping cue. No real priority for ordering early i guess.

A must read.
[Doug is phoning pre-order customers to gather credit card info. If you haven't been called yet, you can follow Doug's suggestion below.]
