I forgot to reiterate the 1 pole filter wish (that can be used in “link” with a 2 pole to create a 3 pole). So that’s three wishes. That’s all I can think of as a long time Hive user.Soarer wrote: I would also really like to see more LP filter types.

+1. The first thing I'd do is a color edit.Howard wrote:#2 is also my fave... assuming some colour tweaks

The yellow could be light grey instead, don't you think?Teksonik wrote:+1. The first thing I'd do is a color edit.Howard wrote:#2 is also my fave... assuming some colour tweaks

Yeah, that baby poop yellow/green doesn't appeal to me very much. But the more I go back and look at #2 (see what I did there) the more I like it. However, if there's no hexagon in the new design, why even call it "Hive" anymore? Of course, arguing that is sorta like saying that if the new GUI for Zebra 2.8 has no stripes, why even call it Zebra?

Number #2 for me. I like when a GUI is as clean as possible without too many symbols screen printed all over the GUI. Number #3 is nice but there is too much going on IMHO. Makes me feel stress to look at. The existing HIVE is clean and nice to. Not too much and not too little.

Yes that's exactly what I had in mind.Soarer wrote:The yellow could be light grey instead, don't you think?Teksonik wrote:+1. The first thing I'd do is a color edit.Howard wrote:#2 is also my fave... assuming some colour tweaks

I like them all. 1st reminds me a bit of Andromeda (minus z 2.8 colors) and 3rd seems to be taking inspiration from Sylenth1 v3 default skin
at least this what it looks to me when i view those skins

I'd say #2 is the one to go for. Out of the four, it looks most HIVE-ish to me.
Also, I like the arrangement of the OSC sections in the GUI (it keeps that mirror symmetry approach).
Maybe the colour of the displays could be a different one, blue perhaps. Or red. Or ...
Anyway, I think this new GUI should only be ONE of some additional new skin alternatives in the plug-in.
The default skin should remain the original (or, updated/facelifted) hexagon skin. This could also come in various colour options (for example, a black and white one). I just love the hexagon (sorry).
But I think Urs has already hinted at this possibility.
Oh, and maybe an included new GUI editor would be nice!
Only a very basic one giving users the possibility to alter colours.

Really like #2. Contrast one the text could be higher. Loved the original HIVE blue color. Maybe an option to include that in addition to other colors?

Didn't see any poll about this but after looking thru some posts it seems that #2 is in lead

In my opinion, if simplicity/speed is the name of the game with Hive, I see why no reason why it shouldn't abandon the hexagon motif if that's what it takes to get there. After all, it's only an aesthetic and shouldn't be an impediment :3.

I apologize if this has been asked before..
I've been following the Repro-5 and Zebra 2.8 releases closely, but haven't seen anything about an update to Hive to make the folders stay in order in Mac OS High Sierra. Is this being planned? Will Hive receive the redone patch browser at the same time? Thank you!
