Does anyone know if upgrades qualify for the RealRick deal? They show the option on the link below but don't say whether it qualifies. It seems they all have the same patterns so it would just be new sounds anyway.
Musiclab is releasing it's fourth guitar: RealRick.
It is currently available for free if you buy any "Real" instrument of your choice.
Valid until 25th September 2014: http://www.musiclab.com/buy.html

First of all, this is a crazy deal for $17. The basic version of Sonar X3 is incredibly powerful..very few limitations. I've used this version for about 5 months and I've been seriously impressed.Uncle E wrote:Cakewalk Sonar X3 Upgrade for Registered Customers on sale for $19.99 and get an automatic extra discount in cart at JRR Shop:

The basic version does not have audio snap or the pro channel. If you do primarily midi compositions, then audio snap isn't really necessary and you probably own enough plugins that cover the pro channel territory.
Secondly, if you're thinking ahead on this, then you could come out even better. Almost assuredly, Sonar X4 or whatever is coming soon. So, buy this upgrade from JRR shop and *don't register it* until Sonar X4 comes out. Most likely (although no guarantees) you'll get a free upgrade to the next version.
I'm thinking about giving that strategy a try myself.
EDIT: Note that this strategy will make you an un-official beta-tester of Sonar X4 if Cakewalk history repeats itself.

Is that Sonar special for A) Registered Users of Sonar, B) Registered Users of any Cakewalk product, or C) Users who are registered on Cakewalk's website?
I expect it's A, but I thought it was worth asking.

I believe it's for registered users of any Cakewalk product, including plugins.Andurian wrote:Is that Sonar special for A) Registered Users of Sonar, B) Registered Users of any Cakewalk product, or C) Users who are registered on Cakewalk's website?

Ok, took the chance. I have Dimension Pro, Rapture, and Z3ta+2. I'll post on here whether that's sufficient.Uncle E wrote:I believe it's for registered users of any Cakewalk product, including plugins.Andurian wrote:Is that Sonar special for A) Registered Users of Sonar, B) Registered Users of any Cakewalk product, or C) Users who are registered on Cakewalk's website?

You are correct. I only owned plugins, and it DLed, installed, and registered just fine.Uncle E wrote:I believe it's for registered users of any Cakewalk product, including plugins.Andurian wrote:Is that Sonar special for A) Registered Users of Sonar, B) Registered Users of any Cakewalk product, or C) Users who are registered on Cakewalk's website?

Would this also work with the upgrade on the cakewalk store?

$16,99, there was some groupbuy-discount as well.
To good to pass. I especially miss V-Vocal and Auddiosnap when going to Reaper.

Ah.. was fooled there.GeorgeZ wrote:Pretty sure audiosnap doesn't come with X3 "Standard" (I donno what it's called... the entry version)?
X3 is what was X Elements, right?
Well, then I understand the pricing better.
And no v-vocal either
http://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?p ... FX.06.htmlNote: V-Vocal has been replaced with Celemony Melodyne essential (see Melodyne (Producer and Studio only)) in SONAR X3 and later. However, if you also have a previous version of SONAR Producer or Studio installed that supports V-Vocal, then V-Vocal will also be exposed in SONAR X3 and later.

Any news on a Sonar X2 Producer to X3 Producer upgrade ? The price has been falling but I'm waiting for it to hit $49 or less.........that will mean X4 is imminent........Uncle E wrote:Cakewalk Sonar X3 Upgrade for Registered Customers on sale for $19.99 and get an automatic extra discount in cart at JRR Shop:
