I meant to reply earlier... The VST version does not show up in Live 9. AU works as expected.Echoes in the Attic wrote:Any new builds available? Am I alone with this issue of Ableton not recognizing it or is it something that's been reproducible yet?

Very cool. My eyes say thank you!Galbanum wrote:I've just completed the double-size "HD" Aether skin. This will be part of the final 1.6.0 update (with AAX support). Check it out:

I just installed the latest Aether 1.60 Beta available on the Galbanum website today: when introduced into a loaded Nuendo 5.5.4 64-bit project in W7-64, the project crashes about a minute later. The project is perfectly stable without it.
I really miss Aether... 1.5 has been doing the same thing for months...
At least B2 and Breeze are fine.

HI All,
Today we have Aether 1.6.0 beta 2 ready to try. This is build 120.
New:
1) Fixes crash issues when changing presets too quickly. Should now be crash proof. Tell us if not.
2) Indigo Skin and Hi Definition double-size skins
3) Other misc tweaks, fixes, and final touch-ups
Remaining to complete:
1) AAX Support
2) Some people report the 64-bit VST version does not load in the 64bit version of Live on OSX. Other people say it does. It does for us. Still exploring.
Please punish it, and let us know what you find.
To obtain it go here if you are an existing customer:

Ecstatic to report that Beta 2 seems to be working without issues in Nuendo 5.5 64-bit!! I've got my baby back!
And lots of
to Galbanum for implementing the the HD view!! What a relief on my 30" screen for my poor tired eyes! The only super-minor issue is that in HD mode the GUI is a completely white box on my sysem for about a second before it's normal... had a little "oh no!" moment when it first happened.
A note to other devs with "micro-GUIs": see? see? Just double the image size - Done! (though there's probably more involved, it's a relatively easy solution). This is exactly what Microsoft's Windows 7 Magnifier does at 200%...
Great work, guys! Thanks!

Love the HD version... Nice!
This build of Aether appears to be working fine (so far) in Live 9, Studio One 2 and Maschine. (using the 64bit VST).

1 crash...
Live 9.0.4 / OSX 10.8.4
After changing the skin to Berlin HD, closing the GUI and then deleting the instance of Aether, Live crashed.
Will try replicate and report back if it does.
Otherwise... I absolutely love the HD versions. THANK YOU!!!

The VST version of Aether (OSX 10.8.4 / Live 9.0.4 64bit) still does not show up.
It does show up in the 32bit version.
I need some sleep, but up next I'll manually delete Aether files and then reinstall.

to Galbanum for implementing the the HD view!!
They may look a touch excessively big at the moment esp B2 which will end up 1920px wide. But as 4K displays becomes available and semi-reasonably priced (hopefully) these will look really great.
Plus I am personally a fan of full-screen apps. Something like our verbs you don't need to have open at all times, and when it is open you are focused on it. So why not take over the full screen while using it, and then close the window. I like this personally.
Of course, if people don't like huge GUIs they can use the normal sized versions.

We'll it's no quite that simple. It "can" be that simple, but it won't look good if you simply up-size all existing rasterized images. And edges can be problematic depending on why type of interpolation you use for resizing. The right way, which is what I did, is to rebuild ALL graphics resources at the new size. And there are other subtleties and annoying "devil-in-the-details" stuff that makes it take longer than you would expect. But I am happy with the result.Breeze wrote:

I won't complain now since yall did all the work for 64bit and I finally get to use them, but one day I hope I'll see these pretty gui support hi-res/retina graphics (totally readable just little fuzzy, spoiled by the upgrade from plugin alliance)
Happy the preset switch bug been fixed. I know there's AAX but now I can finally look toward yall's new product too!

What'd ya mean? Something is fuzzy in the current GUIs? what? where?

YA! TELL ME ABOUT IT!
We're sneaking in a couple extra new features in B2 also. Shhh it's secret.
