The image I posted with the wrong chord, could this be because of rules?

VIIm on C Phrygian is Bbm which is #VIm (or bVIIm) on the C Major scale that you applied the chord to.

That particular chord is correct but during checking this I found a silly bug with the chords display. (The help popup also has the wrong notes...).

When using phase edit mode inside a generator why is it if I move OneNote say for instance from C3 to C4 and then press Apply change to phrase and then save again inside the generator it doesn't save the move note inside the generator. Am I missing something ?

I notice that when I open a 1 bar (4 beat) phrase in the Phrase Editor, then move a single note (e.g. up or down) the Phrase Editor changes from 4 beats to 16 beats on it's own.

Is this intended? If so, why?

I find this to be problematic. Is there any reason not to hope and expect for the length of a phrase to change only when explicitly instructed to?

Just noticed that when in the phrase editor, I accidently hit F2, (which is note properties in Reapers editor), and forgot that F2 is global for note editing page. So, I was perplexed for a few minutes as to what happened. (Out of habit is why pressed F2..)

Would it be better not to affect editing modes of the composition while in the phrase editor?

This question (or similar) I wind up wanting to know the answer to *every time* I have RC open.

RC could provide this answer by offering the user the option of, if I may so style it, "as evaluated" or "as played" display of the note letters on the note events.

This could be done either optionally instead of or optionally alongside the #1, #2, etc. display.

Please consider this addition for future implementation.

I would hope this would be easy to do from the coding perspective. Perhaps, however, it is not.

Either way, I can't see any upside in denying the user information he/she wants to have quickly at hand.

I think I fixed this. For version 4.0 I removed the VST idle timer which is a very old and awkward way to repaint the plug-in UI (by the plug-in). I thought nobody used that anymore, but it seems EZkeys does, so I had to put it back...

Do you have a suggestion for what I should try with EZkeys to create a hanging or crashing situation? If all goes well, I'll have access to EZbass in a few days so I can test that as well.

try this.. add ezkeys, default composition, add chords in ez, then click the browser option.. you should be locked to the "analyzing" dialog.. playing in RC does not move the EZkeys play head..

Crashed with EzBass.. it got stuck in a continuous loop crash and I had to kill RC via task manager..

All I did was add it to a track.. populated it with midi from ezkeys.. then exit RC. When I re-launched RC, it went into a crash loop..

The work flow I use with EzKeys is this.. create a progression in RC, drop a chord generator on the track, then drag that midi into EzKeys to get the chords. From that, use the EzKeys library as needed to change the pattern..

I also do the same with EzBass..

I presented how the note info is displayed for chord notes and scale notes. For bass relative notes the display is the same.

I'll build the next beta version later today so that we are all on the same page. And v4.04 will be available early next week with many fixes since v4.03.
