If you find a cheap deal here on KVR (about $15) , SPL Iron it's a decent one: I'm not a PA aficionado, but they have some quality instruments and this one is a quality compressor to work with.

check your arturia accounts..i just checked mine and i got a massive discount of the fx collection 2 i got it for $69..i only own the v instrument collection 7 so i was shocked to find they gave me such a big discount.
i got a discount on the v 8 instrument colection upgrade but id only get 4 and it doesnt look like id get the sq80..can anyone confirm if yu do get it or not with the v8 upgrade.

Yeah SQ80 isn't part of V8. It will be in V9 whenever that gets released.

i thought samething i have a ton of fx plugins but i thought sod it buy it !!
for $69 for 22 plugins thats a bargain and after i installed i tried out the memory delay ,intensity,bus force and there superb and will be my goto plugins from now on..intensity is so clean and sounds beautiful on pianos and vocals..i put memory on a simple bassline and it really created a very inspiring groove in fact after 2 hours of using these plugins i wrote 2 full songs and started a 3rd lol
not had chance to try out the other ones yet but i will over the next few days.
concerning the v8 collection i think ill give it a pass until they add sq80 ,the 4 included synths in v8 are somethings i have in hardware already or something i wouldnt really use.

When I crossgraded to V8 a month ago or so (for around $200), sq80 was added as a freebie. I can't check if they still do it, though. I guess you can see it if you put the V8 in the cart, which you can always empty afterwards.

I am trying to keep myself from getting buried even more insanely with plugins that I am already. I try to be more choosy now because there is no way I am going to use them all let alone use them all well.

Eos 2 seems fairly popular though I don't use it. Dubstation is a nice and simple analog delay pedal modeler. I have a couple of old analog delay pedals and bought it a long time ago for ITB work. I just bought Other Desert Cities based on the YT demo by Jeremy "Red Means Recording." It has some very interesting algorithms. I was waiting for it to go on sale. I can say anything about it yet because I just installed it.

I just picked up Continua. I have most of their other products. They have software versions of some very unique hardware. Such as the Radio Shack Reverb, MuTron Phaser, etc. These are things I used in the day and so I love having these but they might be lost on others. Best thing is to try demos and/or check out videos and examples. Some people are disappointed by AD. I think of them as a solid dev but with some limitations and constraints. Do your research. I'd recommend most of thier products for those that suit your needs.
