Ouch, the latency is that big? That's the same as SIR, and causes me to hardly use it at all...

I guess this is mostly meant for final mix/mastering purposes though.

I'd say it's only for mastering right now as it's so damn CPU heavy too. Maybe in the future it can be used for mixing too but it's a bit too transparent to be a serious 'toneshape' tool (though sometimes transparency is really wanted when mixing!).

sonar won't like that kinda latency.

I stopped using sir and bought Analogflux suite so i could use convo at 128samples. when you get that big sonar can get freaky.

Seems like this is pretty unusable for anything but mastering then eh, and these are just the simple versions...

I wonder how many gigs cpu you need for the 10 band ?

What I noticed: v1.45 was distorting things a bit [here at least], when I feed it a sinewave, but v1.46 remedied that and then some. 1.46 is THE version and from now on my go-to EQ plug-in. I've also done some testing with some other LP EQ's and concluded it is really a HQ EQ. The only thing I'm wondering now is - is it the best of them all?

There's no Algorithmics EQ demo... and Best means the most transparent, clean sounding EQ for mastering, in my terms. Tracking is a whole lot different than mastering and the percieved quality falls into the "purely subjective territory".

You can get an Algorithmix demo by emailing them but, trust me, this EQ is at least on par with algorithmix, if not better.

I think so, too!

This is also very significant because Dave sets new standards for EQs. Now everyone else should work harder to get to this point if they want to sell their plugins! Not a bad thing, ay?

It really seems like he's telling that soldier "make me a new EQ plugin which will be better than this disgusting free PLParEQ! Goddammit!"
