what's the best host for real-time jams (vs. composition)?

OK, so far:

audiomulch is out.

P5 and Live have some nice features, but I believe are too much for what I'm looking for.

Bidule is interesting, but I'm not into building environments as I don't believe it's necessary. I'll play with it some more.

Chainer may come in handy along the way somewhere.

Have not yet tried all the apps. that newbie Brad suggested.

I'm NOT looking for experimental computer music glurps and bleeps. It's not necessary for my project. I'm doing real music, but not artsy stuff.
