Tony, I've just listened to some drumpack demos that are explicitly saying they are using analog Urei 1178 limiter and it does sound brittle to me. So, it's not UAD's fault, it's just in my opinion they've modeled a wrong device. UAD is probably good at their engineering skills. Plus they have a lot of human and monetary resources. They just can't do anything in an obviously bad way I guess. But they can model 'wrong' devices (by todays standards). That's what I really wanted to say when I was seemingly bashing UAD sound. Plus DSP's math resolution is usually much lower than what native software has.

Lampthruster is my channel EQ everywhere now.
It just sounds so good.
You can crank the bass, and it sounds so tight and warm it eggs you on even more - likewise treble can have 10db gain and still sound musical.
The tube simulation aspect is very subtle.

Great plug-ins, no doubt - I use Voxengo stuff in every song. They're one of the main reasons I still keep a Windows DAW running...
Any news on Mac versions? Is there already a list of plug-ins that will get ported to OS X?

electro, a bit 'broken' sound, with some annoying rattle overtones.
zerobae, Mac versions are still in the plans.. Can't give any release date right now. There seems to be a lot of change going on for Mac platform (moving to MacIntel), this fact also does not add anything good to the development pace.

Aleksey, thanks for your reply - I suspected the Mac versions would take longer now with all the MacIntel stuff going on. I was only asking for a list because I'd like to purchase some more Voxengo plug-ins but I can't tell which of them will be ported to Mac, so I may lose them again when I switch platforms.
