Get Reaktor then and generate samples from it for use in Reason. Reaktor is the shit.

Of course it does, everything in it is their code. It should be as stable as any stand-alone product that doesn't support any kind of 3rd party plug-ins or anything. But who cares, my host is completely and utterly rock-solid. Its been a total nn-issue for me for 3 or 4 years.

Some VSTs can use as much as 50% of my meagre laptop CPU (but I'm getting a new one very soon now!), while I can still comfortably tun 50+ Reason devices without problems. The CPU issues associated with VST instruments is now regularly commented on in all the makor music press as a real problem.

So what!?! You can choose not to use them if you don't want but at least you get a choice. Th enative instruments in ORION are considerably more efficient than any plugins too, as are Fruity native generators. You're talking like its an either/or proposition but its not. There are so many best-of-both-world solutions out there that your comparisons are irrelevant.

So you have absolutely nothing upon which to base any comparisons. My host is half the price of Reason and has roughly double the number of instruments and effects, most of incredibly high quality. But most of all, it supports all major standards so I can use any VST/VSTi/DX plugins I desire in a completely integrated fashion, rather than having to succumb to the perverse will of Proppellerheads who ignore all industry standards, in an effort to protect their precious market-share, and instead make a huge amount of work for other developers who prefer to give their users freedom of choice. The're c**ts and they can rot in hell. But if you like being treated that way, be my guest.

well, I used to have Orion. I thought it was nice, especially for the money, but ultimately it didn't realy suit me very well. Sure BONES is pretty vocal about his like for Orion but he does have a point. As far as I know, his PC isn't much more powerful than mine, and mine is utter crap , yet he still manages for everything to suffice (and I know that he's not too skimpy on things that do use CPU). And I haven't run into CPU issues either, and anybody who's seen one of my .flp files knows that they're chock full of compressors, limiters, distortions, EQs, and monitoring plugs, apart from plenty of SE freebies etc.

And no, I'm not arse kissing. If I was, I'd have said I only use Orion and kILLERs.
