not a dumb question at all. tobybear's Minihost has the best patch manager in the biz. fire it up, load your vst, click on "presets" in minihost and you'll see the preset manager. It's pretty straightforward from there: you load your fxp's on the left hand side, highlight the position you'd like the fxp to hold in the bank on the right hand side, dbl clk on the fxp (on the LH side) and you'll see it populate that position on the RH side (bank maker side). Once you've moved the fxp's to the bank maker you can then save them as a bank.
