@ bobsled
So, if I run Usine on three or more different computers I can use OSC meesaging to have multiple vst's running various parts of an arrangement?
(that's what I 'read' into the OSC thingy)(which I need a bit more info on)

What I read here
http://www.sensomusic.com/forums/viewtopic.php?id=154
I should be asking you how MIDI over LAN is actually more than just goobledegook in CAPSLOCK.
http://www.sensomusic.com/forums/viewtopic.php?id=154
has me wondering again about the mLAN add-on for my UF5...beyond that, I've no idea how such things work.Winpcap is a kind of driver witch allows direct motoring of incoming lan packets.
It monitors all Lan Ports, from all remote computers.
With this small driver, you don't have to specify the port or IP address where you want to receive OSC messages.
It simplifies a lot the OSC configuration:
Just tel to Usine witch adapter you want to listen for messages (Gigabyte, Wifi, etc..) that all.

heh, I use midi over midi.... Some old dos tricks to get a quasi-sync thing happening and analog connections to break the jitter.
Crap I wrote in the prehistoric days with piss-poor documentation code I no longer understand (or want to remember)
The junkcode barely works (crashes *r* us) so I'm looking forward to a real implimentation of OSC.
I leave the development to others and am interested in stuff that fits my sence of how things might work.
Usine is interesting.

bobsled! I fixed my soundcard issues!
Time to delve into SE and Usine simultaneously!
Hmm... that's the first learning curve that's given me pause thus far, lol. I'm a tidbit intimidated.
Muahahahahaha! Bah, I will pwn!

Congrats!
Ya know, SynthEdit taught me more about Usine last week than all the time I'd previously spent trying to "get it". The modules, the routing, the terminology...it makes more sense to me now.runagate wrote:Time to delve into SE and Usine simultaneously!
Hope to open a runagate SE plug in Usine soon. As for me, I think
I shall make
a knob.
Yup. One dull little knob that does
nothing...
I wonder if I could make the knob stick out a tongue like that.
Congratulations again on your soundcard

I'm warning you, bobsled, I'm really starting to "get it" and I love it.
You may have swung me into the path of playing live shows all the time finally.

For me it's back to the SE manual and tutorials, plus chasing down the answers to a few more questions I have about automation in eXT (some stuff I need to be able to do in my sleep). Then, my friend, like you it shall be Usine-SE, SE-Usine, Usine-SE...
Ahhhh, I love it.
Sure would love to experience live runagate...

Usine forum has a new Artist section (nothing posted yet). What a great resource that will be for people who perform a lot and would like an exchange of ideas.runagate wrote:...playing live shows all the time finally.

You're just lucky to know me in my laptop phase instead of my actually really unlistenable sax + ARTfx + expression pedal and vocals + Airfx days.
Wish I'd had Usine when I played sax
