Wait until you see the automatic coffee maker included as a free plugin bundle!
Oh, wait. Shhhhhhh, don't tell zeoy! It doesn't make that 'fancy' coffee. No whipped cream without the added upgrade(not free).

I would like to know if you can edit the apple rex acid loops in tracktion and export them, that way I wouldn't have to go back and forth between tracktion and recycle as currently do now.

On a more serious note, I 'd like to know how it performs on dual cores. ttoz got a point. I know that "real" dual core optimization is hard to implement but any improvements in this direction would be welcome. Not that I have any problems with my ... poor old Prescott @3.8GHz ...

T3 sounds good...
Beno, you said nothing about a dual/multi core support (unless i read too quickly this thread)
Any work has been done on that side ?

I thought it already had that - or does being multithreaded not mean the same thing?Ixox wrote:T3 sounds good...![]()

T3 looks awesome. I grabbed the screenshot and set it as my desktop image. Now I can covet all day long! I'll have to admit, I didn't really 'get' folder tracks when the idea was being thrown around here... but now that I see it, it looks like an awesome feature... especially the ability to apply filters to the whole group.
One of the features that I am very excited about is the ability to use up to 999 markers. I do voiceover material and sometimes the finished track is 60+ minutes. That marker track looks awesome.
I am also one of those who is wondering if multiple cores will be supported (fingers crossed). I have a quad core system and would like to put all of those puppies to work! (dual, dual core opteron 275s 2.2GHz) With all of the features listed so far, I will still probably upgrade regardless.

Holy moly, ttoz-- not asking for much!
Somehow I doubt your entire request list will be fulfilled... but heck, what do I know?
What's "standard wave preview at project tempo"? Not being snarky, just curious. Not something I've seen requested before in those words, though it may indeed be an ongoing request with different wording.
I would think that being multithreaded means being multi-core compatible, but I don't wanna say for sure. I'm curious, too-- I'm installing to my new X2 as we speak.

I think he means that you can preview loops at the current project's tempo, instead of their original tempo.
I think it would have to be more in depth for this. Tracktion would have to detect beats and guess at a tempo for every audio file in the browser, then stretch it or whatever to fit the tempo.
I think Sonar and Live both do this, no? I don't know HOW they do it, but of course ideas are always welcome I would think.

No. Tracktion 2 definitely doesn't have any mutli core support which means for a sequencer to have a multi-threaded AUDIO thread. A sequencer with a single thread for audio and graphics cannot work. T2 has the minimal number of thread to work.
Trackion 2 was not tested on dual/multi core machines (information from mackie) and does not work at all on my machine since i upgraded to a athlon X2 3800. The audio thread always stops with a warning message.
I stoped using tracktion for this simple reason... All the music you see on my site is made with Trackion 2 that's why i'm a little bitter on this subject.
I really hope i will be able to use T3...
So i would like to information about this.
Xavier
