Oh, and I have to add that I like the feature of the evolver (and a few other synths) where you can have the step sequencer go one step for each note on...

Since Z2 seems to be the long lost software cousin of the Evolver

The favourite of last time thinking about it was much like the [M] and [M+] buttons of a pocket calculator, where you can save snapshots of what you've just done. Combine that with a drop down for so-and-so-many steps back or forth. Needless to say, including preset switches.

Sounds like a very good solution, however, one should not underestimate the power of the "save"-button. Save a lot during design and delete the stuff you dont want afterwards. I'd much rather prefer additional filter-models.

Yeah, I do the same thing... make lots of versions, then delete them. I think I would also rather have more filter types, or more modules, or an improved arp or a way to copy groups of modules from one preset to another before a history or compare feature

and just to keep perspective on things, if Zebra2 were to never be upgraded again, I would be very happy with it. It is just a great synth as is.
