I doubt it very much. (but will be happy if it is announced.) It is my guess that they are rebuilding Atmo and Trilogy from scratch as the sound engines in the current versions are 3rd party.
Atmosphere/Trilogy/UVI engine
As many people know, our popular Atmosphere and Trilogy instruments use a special version of the UVI engine, which Spectrasonics originally licensed from Univers Sons - not our own in-house developed S.A.G.E. (Spectrasonics Advanced Groove Engine) technology that Stylus RMX uses.

The Intel Mac transition is a major one for all music software companies to make, but it's much easier to make this transition with in-house developed technology. This is one of the main reasons why we have been able to make the transition to Universal Binary for Stylus RMX so quickly.

Therefore, it's going to take much more time for our Atmosphere and Trilogy customers to be able to make the transition to the Intel Mac world than it has for Stylus RMX users.

Although we cannot announce the specifics or a timetable yet about our plans for Atmosphere and Trilogy, we can say that we are fully committed to their future development and long-term growth - and these future plans will of course include native support for Universal Binaries on Intel Macs.

I don't think we'll hear anything new there for a while.
My hope is something completely new! Come on Eric!

yamaha will upgrade their "mo" line of keyboards. the upgraded models will have a more aggressive soundbank than the previous versions and will be given the new name of "moe."

yamaha is also expected to announce two new keyboards that have been designed to be use with the moe...these are to be the "curly" and "larry" models. the curly will be loaded with lots of dance sounce and will come equipted with the exclusive new 'whoop-whoop' filter. the larry will be a more general purpose synth, but still lean more towards the fun loving side of sound. additionally, all three can be chained to provide what yamaha is calling their "stooge slap" cascading polyphony functionality.

a "shemp" model is expected to be announced at the musik messe.

I bought a jem very early on....probably back in 1989? Maybe earlier. The yellow one, with the black pickguard, green knobs, maple neck with the disappearing pyramid. Wow, I really have been playing guitar that long....ouch.

I think they should extend the name S.O.B to SOBERTIME, it kinda rhymes with Oberheim. Oh and if it sounds stupid, don't blame me, impOscar sounds equally stupid, but we all love the synth!

Actually I'm a very successful self-made businessman. Thanks but times of me working for somebody else are long gone!

Never said anything about working for someone else. Keeping a "day job" doesn't mean you have to be an employee. It does however mean, that you probably shouldn't try and do standup for a living. :hihi:

And technically speaking, everybody works for someone else... even the President.

Correct me if I'm wrong but the way you used that phrase translates to "Shut-up"

My suggestion was merely a playful play on words, considering that GForce themselves have done it before on their synths, and it in no way means I'm serious. Keeping my day job or not doesn't have anything to do with the light joke I made to keep the post/conversation going!

Also correct me if I'm wrong but putting a smiley face after every in-joke or just a plain joke gives it away which isn't very thoughtful on the part of the poster, that is if you do want to go beyond childish humor!

And technically speaking there are people in this world who are above the president and work for no-one!

You're wrong. It was just a "stock" joke meant in a teasing manner.

Of course... but there are very few. And you're not one of them.
