Sascha Franck wrote:As said, kyrre, I didn't even try to find an even remotely perfect loop point. I set a rather random loop, applied a tiny little bit of x-fading (this most likely wouldn't even be necessary) and then just used WaveLabs Wave Equalizer to do the magic.
It's really unique and I have never found anything better (or even similar) to do the same sort of job.
I'll definitely try to afford WaveLab! :D

This is how i fill the gaps/making tails to the slowed down audio, using Vegas5 (and a 3rd party Timetretch):

Of course you can do this in every other audio app, not just in Vegas.
Sorry if this method is obvious. Just tried to help.

vvv.

Hi Kyrre, I imagined it was Norwegian because it sounded familiar, I was in Oslo around New Years Eve, visiting some friends there, so I tried to learn a few words. And will learn more in the summer, because the language is totally cool. So thanks for the info.

sorry for the delay ViktorW. i'm glad you liked it. how's the learning going? imho though, the dialect of oslo isn't that cool compared to the dialects of the west and southwest.

anyway i'm still struggling with a too short sample now. reduplicating the tail is just too tricky, isn't it possible to use some reverb/delay thing to prolong the tail without sounding like a real reverb/delay? here's the beat i'm currently working on http://naoshige.probsd.net/kvr/forest.mp3 and the complete cubase + kontakt2 project is here http://naoshige.probsd.net/kvr/forest.rar.

take care,
kyrre
