It's nearly finished, just the artwork to go now, although I keep coming up with new presets all the time ..hard to know when to stop. 740 now and counting he he...

I am totally impressed with the maturity (if that's a good word to use) of your beats, it sounds like you sourced your sounds well. A lot of drum loops sound so over eq'd like they've been lifted off a vinyl that lifted it off a vinyl etc etc... so it's nice to hear a well processed library

HERE is a short snippet of one of my latest tracks and the sound I feel is most useful today and the sound any housemusic samplelibrary producer might want to aim for...IMO of course.

nice snippet. Some variation would be welcome, although the tune kinda progresses, it's very repetitive (a bit rich coming from me admittedly). Anyway, I really liked what I heard so I hope you take these comments the right way. BTW what are you using for the techy vox bit?

Right now, my library has been contracted for nearly a year. We've been waiting for the new Kontakt player to be finished. Such a blag, but it shouldnt be tool long now... I hope!

I do have his first one. Its a useful library, but I did end up feeling SLIGHTLY cheated when I discovered that the demo's had been through his infamous mastering chain (which he openly admits is the key to his sound).

I remember thinking that his presets sounded so hot in the demos, but very 'normal' out of the synth too.

I think the demos show just how good Manuel is composing / producing this type of music. People think that when they just get the same sounds and samples they can be as good. But of course that's not how it works. His samples are as good as they get. You can't magically turn into a top notch electro house producer just by getting the same sounds (and Manuel's sounds are exactly what you hear in todays clubs...) because producing is much more than just getting the good samples.

I think his sample libraries have a lot of punch and good sounds.

btw. you mention you're on Zero-g, I would be interested how releasing sample libraries works, you sent a demo to Zero-g or?

Ha I'm in the same boat he he, I origionally did it for Kontakt player 1..then 2 came out, then I had to redo everything...it's changed so much. Nearly 15,000 samples now and 750 preset and around 3.2 gb in size (no duplicate samples).

You Uk, your loops sound like you're from the Uk, I prefer these to the vengeance loops as they are not so over processed.

I've nicked the Bd from the first demo you put up by the way he he killer kick drum.

I once swapped a Bass Drum sample that I had for a twat called "Jon the Dentist" (and yes he is a twat of the highest order...long story) ... for a JV-2080, he wanted my kick drum so bad after he heard me play my new track in the club, so I propositioned him...and the muppet did it, he actually swapped his JV-2080 for a kick drum sample I took from a standard sample cd he he.... he did deserve it though.

I agree that Manuel is very good at this type of music. I would buy his tracks any day!

And it is nice to know that I you have the raw materials to make such fine tracks too. I just feel that a demo sound be more representative of the sounds themselves, rather than the mastering chops of the producer.

But again, I cant critisise too much as it is a very useful library if you want to make that specific sound.

I haven't tried it yet the new player, but they assure me everything Kontakt 2 can do the player can, although at the last min they told me I couldn't use any presets with the convolutions in Kontakt 2...so I had to bloody hire in some good fx boxes lexicon etc and make some.

Has been a long year I can tell you editing and looping all those samples by hand.

Yeah the Vengeance boys are amazing with their productions for sure.

thanx, nice you liked it! - the vocal is just my distorted voice - pitched down a little...it's the phasedistortion in logic.
