But i remember that some warned for the "mute" part in such words.

I think that warning does more for mutime than for mutracks.

MuTracks already has been in the polls last year, and it was not bad, but it didn't score very high either.

Lets keep MuTracks as an option.

MuSketch - small, handy and efficient as a sketch book, just that kind of MuTool every musical artist really needs.

what about MUZAK... i know it has negative connotations, but you could take the word to a new meaning as well as retain the tongue in cheek humor behind the corrupted spelling. i like it.

i mean isnt it the age of reinterpretation?

hmm well sorry. i think if you want mu something all you have to choose from are leftovers. i challenge anyone to think of something starting with mu that isnt stupid.

mutation station?

multi mullet?

mundane megaphone?

mumu--justified and ancient?

muzak--- hey i like that one! i mean what else are you gonna make with it? an earth shaking new style? a profound piece for the classics? i dont think so. i mean i dont have a problem if someone calls my crap muzak. lets not get touchy here thinking we are bachs and beethovens. this is for a hobbyist, correct? a newbie? sort of?

or again: MU. just mu.

MuCK - its small and you reach your goal as quickly as the little Muck on his running boots. and it could stand for something like Music, Controllers and Keys.
It starts with Mu, everyone knows that word and has a synapse linked with it, therefore it's catchy and easy to remember and sounds better than Luna anyways.
Has even the same number of letters only 3 are new.

... I have some more, but am saving that for later postings, everytime we post we might draw more attention to MuTools afterall.

THough I consider MuCK being my best shot yet.

I agree: it's not easy to come up with a good one. MuTracks is the best up to now, but it misses a bit of inspiration...

"MU" pops up a question mark in my head: what is it?

MuStyle? Nowadays music is all about fashion and style.

And every musician/composer has his/her own style of making music.

btw. I really like the name Luna. It has a real poetic connotation to me!

I think Luna is okey. On its own it lacks originality etc. but "Mutools Luna" is fine IMO.

(Btw, I'm not very fond of the all-uppercase or MuSomething capitalizing... but maybe that's because I'm a C programmer
