thanks a lot, I received the code

I would like to report this:

MFM2 doesn't appear at all in the VST list in Cubase 4.03
I also installed the vcredist_x86.exe, but nothing changes.

MFM2 appears in Cubase SX 3 and I also could enter the register code.
But after playing a while, changing presets from the preset menu did crash Cubase SX 3.

(All my VSTs are in one common folder for both Cubase SX and Cubase 4, and MFM2 is installed in dedicated u-he folder inside the VST folder)

D'oh... that sounds weird...

Can you trash Cubase 4's blacklist file?

I'm gonna install it this weekend too, and perform some tests...

now i got mey mfm2 registration. this makes me happy. so the dreamteam Zebra2 - MFM2 is running on my mac. i just have dreamed from an pregnant Zebra.it has no boy or girl inside - its an MFM2 modul

Trashing the blacklist did the trick

Now MFM2 appears in Cubase 4.

But ... I now have the same behaviour as in SX3

Changing preset made Cubase 4 crash.

I test further and report later.

Testing further:

I played about 15 minutes without problem with MFM2 and Monologue (a Synth that comes with Cubase 4)
Everything seems to be fine.

Then I loaded FM7 (I tested MFM2 first with FM7)
After a short time comes a short dry noise and Cubase crashes. Again it appeared when changing a preset, but this time I changed the preset from the top left window from MFM2.

Testing again ...

Very interesting... Thanks for taking the time to check it out in depth!

It might be related to other bugfixes...

Do the patches that crash make use of the MSEGs?

Here some results:

Seems to work with
FM8, Kontakt 2, Absynth 4, Discovery and Zebra 2

(though fo a while I thought Cubase had crashed! Cubase stopped working for about 1/2 a minute but finally Zebra2 and MFM2 calmed down and everything was OK)

So it could possibly just be a special combination with FM7 and MFM2

I didnt pay attention to this as it crashed quite quickly. I will try to find out.

OK I made it crash again

Unfortunately it crashed choosing the preset: "Moving reverb" that does not seem to use MSEGs

I will now stop testing because crashing, rebooting, crashing, rebooting is not really funny

PS. I hope the "more contrasting alternative gui" is coming soon
