You have to choose one of the vst parameters in the miditrack and then right underneath the track there should be a a value box of the vst parameter
At least it's how i see it

EDIT: too late :(

what am i missing
If you automate a vst-parameter directly (not via midi-envelope) or pan volume, etc. there's this value-box in the track header
you need simply need to set up an automation-envelope for any parameter of this plugin...

this is a screenshot from the XT2 page - here volume is automated and the automation is stacked - look at the '-7,97dB'-value in the track-header - that's what we're talking about. ;-) :-)

i see no reason why the code already there couldn't do this

jorgen said that there will be a way to record vst gui tweaking,

it looks like all the back bone is there so its just a matter of time (IMO)

I don't see it.
...
Doh! I had to add a lane for volume before it showed up! It only showed up in clips that had been glued too. Didn't crash when I changed length though. Man those audio clips nee WORK!

Here is how it works for me:
-Single sample clip in-line (there always) good
-Glued samples clip in-line (there never) good
-Single sample clip editor (Have to first select sample, then add controller lane) Bad
-Glued sample clip editor, select sample (There) Sometimes?

Confirm?

it's in the object-bar of the audio-editor... :-D
true, shame that the object-bar does not always show up in the Audio Pop-up Editor.
