Funny you mention it because we're revisiting this one now with some nice added orchestral sounds to round it off. It will be about 1.5 gigs or so. Very nice! Don't have a release date yet but it should be this Summer. I will let you all know when we're closer to release. It could be sooner than later though.

Cool, I've been waiting for this almost as excitedly as I was the Vintage collection. Don't forget I offered to beta-test the DimPro set

So why is it that no one ever supports EmulatorX?

We don't get enough requests for it. That's maybe the biggest reason. I'm not sure how many users there even are of that. I loved the original Emulator and the Emulator X seems cool! It's not out of the question. But it's also not on the top of the list. Shame it requires hardware. Maybe it'd have been more popular if it was software-only. Anyway, if someone wanted to convert it and test it, tweak it etc in Emulator X then we might offer it as well.JackD wrote:So why is it that no one ever supports EmulatorX?

Squids,
My best friend asked me about GM soundset programs the other day! And today, I stumble upon this thread...
Wow...could this be...karma? Dare I say..."Divine intervention?"...I say, "YES!" The sample gods (little g) are smiling down on us from the great land of "lack of sleep" and "near exhaustion"...
I will spread the good news and tell my best friend that the answer to his prayer may have been answered...
...but...if we may ask you for a single answer first...oh, wise one of the wurlitzer...
...will this be coming out in Mach Five format??????????????
Peace and Salutations,
Brad

We might actually put this in Mach 5 format too... just to have one library that works with pretty much EVERYTHING. Well, it can be read by Mach 5 anyway because of the conversion abilities so we might leave it at that. We'll see.

The original post is from October 2007 ... I realize we've had some FABULOUS group buys since then, but at this point, Omnisoundz 2 is my next lust object from SR... any word?

We're in the process of checking the conversion to various formats now in fact. We're also announcing something ELSE in the "Omni Family" as well... for standard midi file grooves. I think we're even going to announce it this coming week! So, very timely question.

Not to go too far off topic, but what about IMap MIDIs? I'd love to be able to really use the New Studiophonik kits we have.
