Compliments a plenty my friend.

Cheers and keep up the great work,

And well deserved. Too many non playable non musical industrial noise sound library's around.

What I really like about your old skool patches is that you capture that unstable analogue quality in your patches.

My only observation (not criticism) is that there are not many dirty gritty biting patches. Seems to be a trait of Zebra but you cant have everything. (or can you???)

Can you try and create The Lead from Imposcar?? Sharp biting searing lead. I love that patch. It cuts through everything like a hot knife.

The demo sounds fabulous, Michael. Can't wait to get my hands on these. Am I correct in assuming that the latest version of Zebra will be required for this set to load properly? I noticed that one of the patches has "Eleven" in the name...

Yep, that's right! Hence we're eager to release Zebra 2.3 and AFTERskool at the same time!

Is it the leads i use in the ImpOSCar music on my other synth examples over at synthtronic you mean ?

Anyways, dirty and gritty is something i'm working towards. Roughly 75% into the creation of AFTERskool i got this funky mood over me and started doing funky synth patches so there are a few dirty lead patches and funky bass patches.

Great cant wait to pick it up!

I looked up the preset in imposcar that I referred to above that I would love you to make in Zebra and it is called:

perrierlead

Its a fast playing minimal effect, gritty, screaming cutting preset.

Thanks again,

Baz

Great job ! I'm a convert to Zebra !

Hey JT,

I'd love to reply to your PM, but you neither allow for PMs nor for Emails... hence: the answer is yes reg. crossgrade, no reg. GB - hope you read this 8)

Yeah, that is a really nice patch. Lo-fi in a retro analog kind of a way.

I've had a quick go at repicating it in Zebra and I've got something that I think is tolerably close. I've just uploaded it (along with a couple of other patches) in the Banks and Patches bit here on KVR. The bank is called ZebraK and the Fizzy patch is my attempt at that Perrier Lead - though it is by no means a perfect recreation; I couldn't quite get the way that Imposcar's overdiven filter imparts presence and sharpness in the middle registers whilst being kind of smooth, lush and stringy higher up.

Presumably somebody with more skill/time/patience can do a better job?

Hakey,

Very close. I like it. It even has the growl.

If someone was sufficiently bored one would find several posts by me on kvr basically saying I don't understand what the fuss about Zebra2 is.... last night I spent time listening to Michael's demos for his patches. This morning I am a zebra2 owner and about to buy his old skool collection.
superb job.
thanks Michael
