No other interest in a vintage eq here?
I'd love to see something to challenge the UAD Neve or Pultec eq's from DDMF!

Post

Any chance to see your plugins in windows 64bit and 64bit host?
Wtb inspiration!

Ok, +1 for the vintage EQ!

Post

Okay, I might give it a try. Although I sometimes think it would be wiser to explore the still vast unknown territory that software audio effects have to offer than to digitally simulate legendary hardware from the 60's (which will never be a perfect copy anyway). But I do understand that in order to shape the future one first must understand the past (how poetic is that?)...

For 64 bit versions I need to buy new hardware, then it shouldn't be much of a problem. The buying process is of course greatly influenced by the sales figures :D .

PS: I got various emails wishing me a speedy recovery for my broken arm. Which is nice, but on the other hand not really necessary, as I am NOT Christian Budde (to whom I hereby redirect the best wishes...). :)

Thanks for that :-) In fact my arm is nearly as good as new.

Even if you are a competitor in regards of EQs, I take this chance to wish you all the best with your 'babies'.

Christian (the one with the broken arm)

Same to you!

I would vote for the more adventurous route. Christian has shown
that he can develop excellent equalizers and I am very curious to
see what else he can come up with.
Cheers,

Yes, same here.
Well, i would rather first enjoy a M/S and L/R able version of IIeq, but after that i'd be more curious to enjoy something else than an eq (there already are plenty, and plenty good ones even in the vintage department : Bootsie's NastyCS, Stillwell, many Electri-Q modes, the LeftOver Lasagne one, etc).

I am excited about the multiband stereo widener.

Yeah I already have BootEq and the Pushtec EQ. BootEq II looks very interesting but unfortunately I get a GUI bug with all of Bootsies plugins :(
I also like Stillwell's Vibe Eq but after hearing the quality of IIEQ Pro, Colour Eq and LP10 I reckon DDMF could release something that would blow these away!

I agree with this 100%.

Btw, could you post a screenshot of the upcoming plugin? I'm just curious. :D

This is the current state of affairs:

Haven't done all the testing yet, so you'll have to wait a few more days. Scusi!

It looks great !
And i guess it is even resizable/colour-themeable like Colour eq ?
Is asking for 3 bands (instead of 2) way too much :D ?

Post

Nice! I've been looking for a plugin with those features.

It's resizable. Colour-themability remains exclusive to ColourEQ for the moment. Three bands might be a worthwhile extension, but v1.0 will be two bands.

I guess there will be a width spectrum on the right?

This is a greatly needed plugin btw, I love the stereo tool in Reason and have been looking for something similar like this.

Cheers,

Fridtjof
