In Nuendo 4. if I load Zebra 2.5 do undo and redo it crashes Nuendo 4.
YEs I know one would not do undo or redo with a freshly loaded instance before doing anything, but I was trying out to see what each button does and it crashed Nuendo 4.

Very interesting. If you are on MacOS X, can you send me a crash log?zvenx wrote:In Nuendo 4. if I load Zebra 2.5 do undo and redo it crashes Nuendo 4.

Just confirming that I'm experiencing the same problem with my Arp patches.Urs wrote:I have a suspicion that there might be a bug in the Arp, possibly due to the new Glide modes...uselessmind wrote:Just tried 2.5 and found something weird but maybe its a new feature?
I played some of my patches until i came to a arp preset wich sounded all wrong. So i fooled around a bit and it seems Zebra is recording what i play and then when switching to a arp preset what i played before gets somehow incorporated into what the arp itself should do.
So what did i do wrong?

I'll look into it tomorrow. Zebra got the glide offset thing from Bazille yesterday and maybe I have slept somewhere in the arp code. Or there may be circumstances where the oscillators etc. just loose connection to the key tuning.elxicano wrote:Just confirming that I'm experiencing the same problem with my Arp patches.
We'll see.

Thank you for the 2.5beta and fixing the automation recording bug in FL.
However, the GUI of zebra 2.5 still isn't brought forward from behind windows when clicking anywhere on it.
And a dark horse skin update would be nice
I like the default skin though, but like mentioned, I enjoyed the modules being distinct.

Ah, well... taking things step by step...GMusic wrote:Thank you for the 2.5beta and fixing the automation recording bug in FL.

Fair enough, tinting things won't be a problem, whereas changing the whole layout into some unified thing simply required to use a unicolour scheme...And a dark horse skin update would be niceI like the default skin though, but like mentioned, I enjoyed the modules being distinct.

Not to keep beating a dead horse (or a live Zebra), but I'm yet another person who agrees.GMusic wrote:

thank you urs, yes one step at a time, it's not a huge issue.
WOW just tried 2.5 mode on my old patches and O_O I am so shocked at how much better they sound! They did go up in loudness a bit, not sure if that's normal, but the actual quality of the sound just opens up. seems clearer (brighter) and wider (Fat!)

Same thing is happening for me also. Arp patches sound horribly mangled.

Okay good but I'm not quite sure how this relates to my post above.pdxindy wrote:users can still update and create new skins for Zebra... for example, you would also not get the new 12 slot mod matrix (which Urs didn't even mention!) with one of the old skinsbagginz wrote:+1 Much faster to scan and isolate the module one wishes to edit.Echoes in the Attic wrote:I like the new gui, but the only thing I would change would be to add a slight color shade to the different modules to be able to easily tell them apart (I'm so used to the dark horse skin). Ex. Oscillators one color, Comb another, filter another etc.
Also the new shiny metallic modules are also not easy on my eye.
Personally I prefer something more subdued, especially if I am going to be staring at it for a long time. Because the synth itself positively invites one to explore and delve deep into its creative possibilities, it would be nice if the look did the same... But that's just me.
There again, perhaps this is all splitting hairs after all the great new signal processing stuff that Urs has crammed into this release
Cheers

Dunno if it's a bug but it's annoying with the new zebra that I can't change the place of the presets - the program places its presets in drive c:
With version 2.3 all my presets were in anozher drive ....
