in fact there's a little more to it. i didn't want to take that thread off topic, but no qualms about doing so here in contest gossipEcho Voodoo wrote:This post might explain that.Barnadine wrote:Just noticed thatknockman's location wrote:Location: somewhere! anywhere! (except Australia)

many moons ago my wife got married in australia, though neither she nor her 1st(?) husband were australian. some moons later they separated and the marriage was dissolved by registering so with their respective countries of nationality. sounds messy and complicated, but it was all mutual and on good terms. indeed i occasionally speak with him myself (there's a step-son). anyway i once asked my wife and her former husband if anything had been filed in australia to show their marriage was dissolved. apparently not. i have a number of australian friends who i look forward to visiting one day, but i'm not sure if my wife will be arrested for bigamy on arrival.
shouldn't really be thinking about this - my wife and her family always make me laugh (like the time my mother-in-law forgot to bring the urn full of ashes when the time came to inter her husband's mortal remains).
dash it! seems little chance of me getting pissed off this month
