I found answer.. my answer is Oddity & Predator. This is my modern synth!. And If I want best power.. I can use Synthmaker.. (Largo, Synthmaster2, ACE - later) and Sylenth1 is seem still good choice..

ACE is impressive sounding. Best new synth of 2009 IMO.Vectorman wrote:Now that I've finally gotten around to demoing it, I'd have to agree (I'm lagging a bit behind - I'm usually on top of anything new Urs comes out with). I don't think the hardware VA's I've used have anything on ACE in terms of sonic presence and punch. It's a little monster.ACE would be my recommendation for that fat punchy sound, it is a beast!

I found ACE and Largo have similar sound. Both very snappy and punchy with really fast envelopes. Largo has little bit brighter sound. Both are very good.musikmachine wrote:+1 On ACE.

I have a blofeld and i find they complement each other well. Funny, ACE hasn't put me in mind of Largo at all, or the blofeld for that matter! I'll have to demo Largo again when i get a faster machine.Igro wrote:I found ACE and Largo have similar sound. Both very snappy and punchy with really fast envelopes. Sorry for bringing this up again, but I have a second sound sample on this argument:C-note wrote:All the features in the world would not make me buy Synthmaster2. Version 2 is much better than 1 but still very thin sounding

The preset file for it can also be downloaded at:
http://www.kv331audio.com/synthmaster/p ... rwhat.smpr
So, let me ask again: Does SynthMaster2 sound "thin" ? Or let me put it this way: Does the above sample sound "thin" ?

It's tough to say unless I try it myself. I'll demo it when there's an AU version. Just going by the audio demos I would say it doesn't sound phat or thin. A little above average sound wise, but nothing that's making me jump out of my seat.kv331 wrote:I have a second sound sample on this argument:C-note wrote:All the features in the world would not make me buy Synthmaster2. Personally, I have some pretty high standards as to what I purchase and use. I like using software better than hardware, but I only use software that I feel sounds like hardware. I'm very picky and my "rack of gear" does change occasionally if I find something I like better to replace what I already have.

Well.... All right.. Let' go to the first problum
I said Sytrus sounds same with Sylenth1.
You will be suprised that. Inspite of FM, really same..
and Sytrus is more rich than Sylenth1. But This is not good.
Sytrus is rich becouse that is FM synths. and some high price..
I think SynthMaster2 is successful synth, becouse It has very stable tone and I think many synths are fail get this stable tone.
So, SynthMaster2 is successful synth
and SynthMaster2 can compear with Sylenth1. Both Synth line are clear and sharp such as hardwear
I choose 'Sawer' becouse It is most need synth at my library (I need JP8000). But I think people want Virus.. So at this case.. I think problum is not easy.
SynthMaster2 is good replacer about sylenth1. But aspect at what is virus, maybe people can be disappointed at both all
Sylenth1 has filter like Virus. But I think basically sylenth1 is not Virus. If softwear is Virus.. I think Predator is most same
Anyway, I think SynthMaster2 is well ballenced hardwear synth
- But I have not Virus.. so this is only my thought. and I am not synthMaster2 user.. my most thought is depend on demo songs..

But i am don't be much suprised, i has also thinking before i tried the demo, that Ace would be a good sounding synth.

Can Albino come any close to Sylenth - Largo - Synthmaster2 ? in terms of fatness and quality ... no general features

Igro wrote:What you all mean by "Fat"? Do you mean how fat is unison stereo spread or what?
Well.. It may punchy than fat.. But If only punchy, Massive or Zabra will most punchy.. actually.. all unison synth art fat.. my fat isn't that.. My fat is surely not mean unison..
My fat is will next : ACE is fat than Virus becouse ACE has Power like Virus and Punchy like Massive
Hard to explane.. becouse I haven't Virus.. but If ACE has strong like virus and has rough punchy.. I think ACE is more fat..
for exsmple.. ARP is fat.. Virus is fat too. But ARP is smooth and Virus is more hard, or punchy.. than Virus is more fat than ARP
I think ACE has sound like hard motorcycle sound.. Yes.. This is good.. My fat is more hard(also rich and strong) motorcycle sound at bass

"Fat", "thin", "warm", "digital", "punchy"... ugh. I think that most softsynths sound very much alike when you strip them of their effects and cut down to the bone (i.e., the pure osc in mono). The only real difference is in sound quality: how clear is the sound, are there artifacts, horrible oscillations in the higher registers, muddy bass, etc. Seen from this perspective, a thin sound can be either good or awful. "Thin" or "punchy" does not designate quality (or lack thereof). A piccolo flute is not a tuba.
Fact is, ACE's sound quality is way above the norm. That's why it eats my cpu for breakfast. And it can gladly have my lunch and dinner, as well, for all the joy it brings.
