I have no idea. maybe it is in the add/remove section....maybe in installation you choose a different folder to install it in......the version number shows in the finder or whatever it is called in xp (browser) so if you see two, dump the one that doesn't say 2.2.1.

This has me perplexed and as for unzipping a file out of my wheelhouse. I download the file, save to desktop, when I try to open it and it says it is corrupted; I have tried all recommended programs still same message. Am I doing anything wrong, I have never experienced open a zip problem before, therefore I am left wondering if Lennard has a specific process for opening and updating this VST. Could you please tell me the process y'all used so I can try to mirror that, that could work; I have the file right here with me just waiting to be opened.

There are 3 factory banks so if there is a number 4 then that's the new one.zvenx wrote:I thought we always had a bank 4 just it wasn't filled too capacity, but I could be wrong.

I'm not sure why some of you seem to have problems with the zip file, I zipped it the same way I always do. Maybe your download got corrupted though. To fix that clear your browser cache or temporary internet files and try again (or try downloading with a different browser).Happy Frog wrote:This has me perplexed and as for unzipping a file out of my wheelhouse. New presets can be found in FactoryBank 3 and 4. In the previous version there were 3 factorybanks, where the last one wasn't entirely filled (it is now).zvenx wrote:are the 390 presets incorporated in the four banks? I notice some new ones I think, but I can't imagine 390 fit in the four banks, don't there were that many blank spaces. Or were some dropped?

Just remove the old Sylenth1 folder that contains the previous version from your VSTPlugins dir if you have 2 Sylenth1 installation folders.yellowfever wrote:Gets stuck on the first preset here (Cubase Studio 4.5.2 Windows 32 XP3). Worked fine on the old one.Lennard wrote:* added keyboard control for preset selection (arrows)
btw, are you meant to unistall the old version or just install the new version over the top of it? I have 2 .dll files now; could that be the problem?

Yeah no prob with the zip file using Winrar.
About the new bank I thought it was the fxb listed there called 'OnlineBank'.
But what's the new dll global hook for and does it need permission?

This version uses a mousehook to enable the mousewheel. Not sure why your firewall warns on that, but it's harmless. If you have the firewall block it you probably won't be able to use the mousewheel.V'ger wrote:Thx for the update, but my firewall warns that the new version wants to install a global hook, what's that for? As global hooks is deemed a risk by the firewall, I disallowed it yet everything still works fine as far as I can tell.

Thank you, I will try that, I am on campus now so I can't load Sylenth1 here to go to the update page. As for opening in a differnt browser, never done that before, not show how. I will keep working at it. I still have not lost my excitment so any help is always appreciated.

I cant extract it with winrar - keeps coming up as corrupt. Is there anywhere i can download from the site as opposed to going through the GUI of Sylenth itself?

Yes it does...what i meant was from outside the application itself via the 'Check for updates' option. Just simply from IE8 as i type in the Lennardigital website - there is no 'user area' or 'login' function though...it was an idea to see if bypassing the update direct from within Sylenth's UI might have made a difference.zvenx wrote:it doesn't take you to the site?
when I do upgrade it takes me to the site via my browser..

I canot unzip this file - it is adamant that it is corrupt. Oh well...

can't see why it would..when the plugin takes you to the page..bookmark it.
close your daw and sylenth and go there with the bookmark in the browser. Although I can't see why this would make a difference.
sorry to be of no real help

Thanks all for the help in the mean time, and red37 sorry, we have the same problem, I will work at it more when I leave campus, and update all. Please let me know if you find a work around.
