Hmmm... interesting point... I'll see if removing the dependencies will fix it...

Similar bugs can be had with Stillwell plugins.losan wrote:Well, I guess these files now come already included with Win 7.
Something else...
played around with ACE and Uhbik.
Cubase not only crashed with the first loading of the plugins
(which btw. never happened with any other plugins I own for me),
but also sometimes then I played with ACE, then removed the track,
added an FX-track, then try to load Runciter - bum, Cabase crashes.
Anyone seeing this ?
Anyways good going Urs, I'm really happy to see these betas available, hopefully I can try soon.

I'm finding the Uhbiks much more stable in Live 8 - I used to have to stop the playback before removing them or or moving them around in the signal path for risk of crashes - I just dumped about 10 of them in a channel, threw them around in the chain, pulled them out and put them back in again - no problems.
They also seem to load a lot faster...Maybe just my 64bit glasses...

Yo, I updated the Mac version yesterday night (same link) but havn't managed to do the fixes on teh Win side (notably removing dependencies and fixing window position in Studio One). The Mac side of things should now be more stable, save presets and be generally a bit faster.

Finally managed to try the Uhbiks.
Now it sucks that I forgot to test in Cubase 5.1 but in 5.5 64bit everything works fine so far.
Loaded up a busy project, couldn't get it to crash yet, tried closing, opening, transferring to different fx inserts etc. all while playing.
Very sweet plugins btw

Here are the latest versions:
64-Bit VST Win (removed dependency from msvcr72.dll):
ACE: http://www.u-he.com/ACEVSTWin64.zip
Uhbik: http://www.u-he.com/UhbikVSTWin64.zip
Zebra: http://www.u-he.com/ZebraVSTWin64.zip
Bazille 03: http://www.u-he.com/Bazille03Win64.zip
64-Bit Mac AU (fixed missing Carbon View, several bugfixes)
ACE: http://www.u-he.com/ACEMacAU64.zip
Uhbik & Zebra: http://www.u-he.com/UhbikZebraAU64.zip
Bazille 03: http://www.u-he.com/BazilleMacAU64.zip
Problems with dependencies on Win should be gone, and Mac versions should work in Carbon hosts without any problem. I hope.
I've also fixed quite a few potentially annoying bugs.
Cheers,
Urs

Thanks Urs,
gonna check them out...
@Lux: for me C 5.5 didn't made a difference in regards to the above
mentioned crash.
Btw, I finally bought Zebra2 now...
one reason for sure is Urs' addiction to constantly improve his
software.
All the best

I had to delete the last installation of the Zebra demo to stop myself buying it! And now cheeky Urs bundles it in with the Uhbiks so I keep playing with it again - gonna have to retire my old Gem S2 for a $50 discount I think...

I am seeing a strangeness with the Uhbik-G GUI in Reaper 3.63 x64 on Windows 7 (all 64 bit).
Loading and running the first instance of Uhbik-G works just fine, the GUI display and audio processing is as expected. However, the GUIs do not dislay correctly when loading a second (or subsequent) instance of Uhbik-G. For the subsequent instances Reaper shows a default "host" gui which is a plain background with a vertical list of sliders. Deleting all instances of Uhbik-G and reloading them does not correct the problem. (I tried this pretty quickly so it's likely the Dll did not actually get detatched from the process). Once Uhbik-G has been loaded all subsequent instances, even the first one following a delete all, show only the host slider gui. It does not happen with the other Uhbiks, they show the correct GUI when multiple instances are loaded. Perhaps there is a global or system call in the DLL that is unique to Uhbik-G ?
Let me know if there is something I can do to gather more info.

Nothing big or ugly, drag-and-dropping presets between folders hasn't worked with the latest betas (OS X AU, all hosts I've tried).

Yep, drag'n'drop isn't yet in the Cocoa UI... will do this at some point though...xh3rv wrote:Nothing big or ugly, drag-and-dropping presets between folders hasn't worked with the latest betas (OS X AU, all hosts I've tried).
@ToneCarver: Strange thing... will need to try this myself tomorrow (or Monday)

Hi, Urs, had a crash with Ace 64 bit beta in Logic 9.1.1 on an 8-core Mac Pro, OS 10.6.4. After tweaking a knob in the stacked voice tuning section of the tweak page, right clicking in the mapping generator crashed Logic.
However, right clicking in the mapping generator before tweaking the stacked voice knob did not crash Logic.
I realized too late that I should have saved the Crash Reporter and Diagnostic logs to send you, but I forgot. I habitually trash stuff that clutters up the computer. Yeah, I know, the computer wants to save it.
By the way, Ace is pure genius. The sound is absolutely amazing.

Small update on Windows:
64-Bit VST Win (fixed potential crash bug in ui):
ACE: http://www.u-he.com/ACEVSTWin64.zip
Uhbik: http://www.u-he.com/UhbikVSTWin64.zip
Zebra: http://www.u-he.com/ZebraVSTWin64.zip
Bazille 03: http://www.u-he.com/Bazille03Win64.zip
These should fix ui problems in Reaper and other hosts, especially if more than 1 editor window was opened.
Let me know how they go,
Urs
