The knob itself forms a circle inside a square. That's where the linear action is.

If you extend the circle by about 1.5 times its radius, that's where the rotary action sits.

That means, the rotary action sits *outside* the knob square for most of it, with an overlap on the corners.

This can't be changed currently - I could however think about it for future revisions.
