terriandralph wrote:Some ideas you might consider implementing for future releases:

I was looking at the pattern section at the bottom of the GUI, and read that it will be implemented in a future release. What are your thoughts for this section? I noticed you have an arrow on the left side (perhaps as a future play button?) I realize I am probably asking too much (I keep trying to remind myself that as a freebie this is a gift, after all) but I hope you are looking at the ability to save and load patterns, and then organize the different patterns similar to how FL Studio puts together patterns to create music pieces.
The latest version, Version 0.2 implements a basic pattern save/restore feature that allows you to save up to 8 patterns (matrix size, obstacle and rover positions) and restore them to the main matrix at any time.

In the long term I have plans to make "scenes" or sequences of patterns that can be tied to song position but that is a ways off yet.
terriandralph wrote:Also, it would be nice to be able to move a rover move up or down a box at a time somehow while it is playing, so that if you want to change the rover's timing, you don't have to stop the host, delete the rover, and then place another rover either a box above or below the box it occupied previously. You would be able to get immediate feedback of different rover positions quickly this way.
That's a good idea. I am planning to add shift actions that move the entire set of rovers one cell over in any direction but had not considered nudging a single rover. I'll see what I can do about adding something for the next release.

Sorry, I missed the save/restore feature on the update. I will definitely look into it.

Thanks for considering my second suggestion about nudging a rover.

BTW, I really appreciate all the hard work for a free product.

this is way too much fun ...
thank you ...

immediate satisfaction coupled with enough features that
you can spend some time feeling your way around them ...

might i suggest :

delay start :
a control to delay the start of the process 'x' numbers of bars
after transport ...

limit bars :
a control to limit the number of bars the process plays
after the process starts ...

The next release (hopefully out next week) will have a control to enable/disable rover motion. When disabled the rovers hold position and no midi output is generated. You can manipulate everything, add and delete rovers, capture and restore patterns, twiddle knobs, etc. That will let you accomplish the behavior ("wait 'x' bars, play some bars, stop playing") but you would have to click the buttons manually at the appropriate times.

I'm really excited about the next version of this. You've gotten so much good feedback, this thing is going to go from great to stellar. Now if everyone would please stop with the feature requests for a bit so the man can do his thing.

As always, good job and thanks for the great plugin, ToneCarver.

+ 1 good job!

On the other hand... I refuse to use the updated version, not until a donation button is featured beside the download link.

This is a great tool (thank you so much), and def requires a "donate" button, for those inclined to use it.

Here is a quick ambient sequence I made, using three instances of Nova 3 triggering these synths:

Tyrell N6 (the bass)
Alchemy: SteaMWorx soundbank (clockwork atmosphere)
[Another synth] (the pad)

Luftrum - Novas (5:36)

Izotope Ozone on top.

Nice work Luftrum, very soothing. Nice pad triggering too, would not have guessed that was sequenced. :tu:

Nope, no requirement for SSE2. What host, operating system and CPU are you running?
