I use it on the master too :) (setting the 0VU calibration to whatever amount of headroom I want in the mix)

Whipping up a quick mono->stereo summer would be pretty easy though if that's what you're after ;)
You have my exact thoughts in mind with both counts .. I mono my mix a fair bit and that would be great if you could do that.. to have the metering, gain and sum in one plug in for me is master bus gold dust

I've been thinking about this a lot today and it's given me some good ideas. I'm not sure if I'll add it to dBVU just because it's main purpose is metering for tracking, but we'll see. I do have another plugin in mind that will include the same VU style metering and would be a better fit for the mono/stereo switch, though!

For now, you'll have to use your DAW's mono/stereo button. If you're DAW doesn't have that feature, let me know and I'll make something similar to Polarity for you ;)
