Thanks for your kind words on my track. Well, i don't only make subtle and gentle things. In fact i like industrial and metal also. Was playing bagpipes and keys in a 'In Extremo' tribute band for five years. Hence i have some problems with tinnitus and prefer the subtle things more at the moment.
If i find some time i sure give Kairatune another try. But can't promise.

Wow that is pretty impressive for a freeware synth, it really sounds different to.....well just about anything i have
Maybe i'll try to enter this competition, if i can get inspired enough to finish a track in time.. btw an easy way to get a snare(ish) sound out of this synth is just to take a preset with a snappy/crunchy attack, turn down the sustain/hold/decay on the amp and run it through a short reverb...Or is that not following the rules? Couldn't load the preset banks from kvr and im not much of a synth programmer so if that's not allowed then i'll have to pass on this one

I was about to give up yesterday!
I had to freeze some more parts so I can keep working. At the end I managed to do something like a tune... I was like.. "hey, it's something.. (insert meme here)"
Then today I listen Alphuris tune and now I got almost depressed
It's sounds good! Hell I wanted some pads like that and I wasn't able to do something even close...

Cheers for the submissions and yes what you describe is perfectly fine Manvanmars. In fact you can go pretty nuts with effects for it takes a lot to make the sound unrecognizable as being from the synth, although I know there are some purists who will make mostly without and I suspect award with votes others who did the same.

Some Lyrics translated from the Icelandic...
Everything is frozen outside You can't get anything at the
beach I'm so hungry I'm so hungry If I go to a house The dog
forbids me To eat from the garbage Eat from the garbage The
raven slept in a rock-rift The raven slept in a rock-rift The
earth is covered in ice You can't see the ground at all
Full-fledged birds are capable of Full-fledged birds are
capable of But even though I look everywhere There's just one
color What can a raven eat What can a raven eat?

Wow! and In Extremo Tribute band!?!? Awesome! I am not worthy. Yeah, I found this after I decided to do Krummavisur, and was blown away. I considered doing something else but then i figured I'd be doing it in a very different way, so why not?

I've find pads to be the hardest thing to come up with well so that makes my day to hear you say that. Don't worry though. There will plenty more submissions that beat mine into mercy, no doubt.

Tho, it's my first time, so I take it as a good opportunity to learn new stuff.

Btw, I have 1 question:
Rules say : "File name format: Artist - Song Title where artist name is the same as KVR nick."
I made InterSlotCall as username, to avoid troubles with the space at "InterSlot Call".
Can I use the right name "InterSlot Call"?
If there has to be exactly the nick here, no problem anyway. I could use the good one at the ID3 Tag.
Thx!

Oh yeah, this was a great time, almost six years with lots of live playing and sometimes with little pyro show and even a fire-breather. Mostly we made double feature live shows with a Rammstein cover band. Hence my tinnitus - from heavy bagpiping and loud pa.gorgorgathgorgorgor wrote:

You made a great version of the song, like it.
Those great old melodies and songs with their background deserve to be kept alive!

Sounds way cool, I would want to be in a band like that..
@InterSlotCall: Yes small differences is for sure fine, it's just to avoid people using completely different names so no one knows what song is made by whom etc..

Submitted my first entry ever into the OSC
March of the Estranged
Ableton Live 8
11 Instances of Kairatune
Kjaerhus Classic Compressor, Limiter, Reverb and Delay
And I can see that I need to change the title of my submission as I used my SoundCloud name instead of my KVR one... oh well I'll try to remember next time...
