Exactly! I don't think so! At the end you will most probably convert it to 44k anyway and a good converter will remove everything above 22k, so it doesn't really matter. I compared a number of peaks in a piece of music between 20/20K in the Melda vs. SPAN 2 and they were pretty much identical.
A reasonable trouble would be if you'd use some software, which would alias those frequencies, but I don't see how you could do that with a reasonable SW.
