Thanks for the quick response. I'm downloading it now.

Couple of quick questions...
How do you comp audio and MIDI tracks in Metro?
Does Metro have folder tracks? How would you group all drums sounds on 1 track?
How does time stretching work in Metro? Is it as easy to do like in Reaper or Studio One? (they are my favorite DAWs at the moment).

Simply select separate track and select 'merge tracks to new' from the edit menu.

Whenever you see an audio clip it will have 2 handles; a left handle and a right handle. These can be dragged to change the size of the audio clip. If you alt-drag (option on Mac) the right handle the clip will be time-stretched. Time stretching can also be performed via the scale time dialog.

There have been some (small) changes to the UI as mentioned in the change log. Why not download the demo if you are interested?

How do you expand/contract the piano roll vertically?

I see no icons or other indicators for changing the piano roll other than the 'zoom' in/out horizontal tool.

I am not sure I understand your question so please tell me if this is the correct answer.

You can zoom the piano roll by holding the alt key (option key for Mac) while pressing the zoom buttons. Each track in the graphic editor has its own vertical scroll bar so you can scroll the piano roll vertically as you would normally with system scroll bars. There is also a zoom icon at the top right of the track's title bar. Clicking the zoom bar expands the current track so it fill the entire graphic editor.

Hi

That does answer my question ('You can zoom the piano roll by holding the alt key (option key for Mac) while pressing the zoom buttons'.) and allows me to zoom in/out the piano roll (graphic area as you call it).

Feature request:

It would be nice if the graphic editor had the same +/- zoom keys as in the bottom of the 'main track screen'.

I've watched the Metro videos on Youtube. One subject that I hoped to learn more about is not covered--moving sections\passages around. Several other people here seem interested in how Metro lets the user do this. Could you post a video?

(This is the main feature that interests me in Metro. Other sequencers and hosts do not make moving sections or passages around terribly hard, but isolating and moving parts seems cumbersome, particularly since one must usually work in the track view. A video of moving parts around in Metro might be instructive.)
