Z3ta+ 2 "Legendary Synth"?

The same for me.
All the years Z3TA was at its first version, I was still prefering Pentagon (made by René also, like Triangle, Square, and Z3Ta) with the Wavestation and the M1.
But all has changed when Z3TA went to its version 2. Since this day I used much less Pentagon, and most often Z3TA.
My gear is essentially a "prog" (and new age) gear, and Z3TA+2 is really good for the analog sounds as well as for digital sounds (that I leave to others).
I use it beside all the Korg Legacy, the VB3 of GSi, Ultra-Analog VA-2, SampleTron, TAL-UNO-LX, TAL-Bassline-101, MinimogueVA, Memorymoon, Messiah, ME-80 and FM8 (and Night Flight, an excellent little emulation of the old string synths which costs only €11/$15, a must have!).
And most of all, it is one of the rearest rather "complex" synths which stays CPU friendly. And although I use also the M1 and the Wavestation I have never felt that they were the same purpose.
Sorry if I have shocked some of you with my first post in this thread but although I use all these analog synths I call a cat a cat and it was good to recall what means the term "legendary". I love Z3TA and it is at the heart of my gear with the string synth, the Mellotron and the VB3, but apart the Mellotron none of them can't semantically be called "legendary". They are popular and vintage, and with very good reasons, but not yet legendary even if it is obvious that they will become it later.

Yes.
And I answer... an Octave is an Octave.

I'm 55. At the plein epoch of the prog rock I was 15. Exactly the good age to be plunged deeply in the prog music all along its history.

virus mod preset pack only works with version 1 so it must not be deleted as you need it as well I would think.
The Z3ta is one of my go to synths for lead sounds along with Synthmaster and Rapture. I have better pad synths to use but it is also decent for usage with that type of sound. I actually like some of the organ sounds it can produce.
Amongst other I have that I would use for leads are messiah, prodigious, antitranspirant, voyager, zebralette, Poly KB II cm, memory moon, minimogue VA, Scanned synth, Tal noizemaker, Tyrell N6, Charlatan, Mausynth, Monofury, ODsay, Alieno, A Synth, Maestro talk about distorted sound this one should upset all those who dislike Z3ta2, and xils 3 be.
Having ordered total studio and the mail being as slow as it is I assume I am a few weeks away from even loading that piece of code to my arsenal. Perhaps sample moog will creep up the list of favorite lead synths. I am a guitarist and needed amplitube and the trons and miroslav looked usable. T Racks may be usable and CSR as well, Sample Tank and the expansions plus sonic synth are a welcome library to peruse as well so I am happy this black friday turned out decent for $99.
KLC, AAS modeling collection, Minimonsta, VB3, OPX and NI Komplete remain atop my wish list for vsti synths. I think minimonsta, monopoly, ultra analog, OPX and monark may become future go to synths for leads as well but I doubt I will ever stop using Z3ta, Rapture or Synthmaster for that purpose.

Just bought it for 46 euro.
Read a lot about it, tried the demo.
It will be one of my go to soft synths, it's inspirational (for a soft synth).
It always depends on the style or the arrangement.
It's a sound I was lacking and it's versatile.

Z3TA has also another great, great, great argument, and its not relative to the music but to the software. It is its protection method: a single key code. For all their products Cakewalk prefer to trust their customers without boring them with annoying methods.

You could get it for 36 euros.electricthing wrote:Just bought it for 46 euro.
Here by using Paypal you had no charge for the change.
And today $49.50=€36.45.
Everybody can try even in stopping the transaction before its confirmation. You will see that it works.
A friend of mine here at Paris (France) have bought one there yesterday on my advice. It has received the licence key by email 5 minutes after its purchase with the link to download.
$49.50=€36.45, no fee, no charge.
And no need to create an account, they use your Paypal account as is. Period.

Well, it has one important downside: They don't allow license transfers, as far as I know. You can sell the software but the new user cannot create a new account and get support...BlackWinny wrote:Z3TA has also another great, great, great argument, and its not relative to the music but to the software. Yes, but for the price...Tricky-Loops wrote:Well, it has one important downside: They don't allow license transfers, as far as I know.
We must not forget that it is a bargain only for a few days.
Out of this special moment of the year, usually at its regular price of $99 it is better to buy it directly from the Cakewalk website. But presently for this very short period it is a good deal even with this little constraint (which will concern very few people by the way when we see its very high quality).
And even with the Cakewalk website, this constraint is the little price to pay for these very ridiculous prices.
Beware: I don't talk here about the high Roland products, it is another league. I talk about the subject of the present thread: Z3TA (and the other products signed by rgc:audio which is for years now a division of Cakewalk, these products from rgc are all excellent [see their favorite number and their rank of previews at KVR here and here and here] and very, very cheap).
