You can use the time selection tool for that :)
yeah but it should be fixed anyway^^.

Hope in the rc2 we will see pre roll in the clip launcher! :hihi:
Yea I get what youre saying it should work like that, but in reality thats not what the tools even used for, its for selecting just the clips and if you wanted to select the whole time/clip/whatever that would be what the time selection is for :) Its not broken but they do need to add that feature in

Nope, never seen logic)) if ,at least, I could use ctrl e shortcut on the audiogrid..I'd be happy. Not very comfortable to slice samples in the edit window switching from arrow to knife tool. Again, your example. I hope they'll do something about it.

That sucks actually to use two different tools to do stuff. They made unique daw with great ideas and they did all these awkward tools... I wish it was like in ableton when u can do stuff with just an arrow and shortcuts. Different tools r old fashioned.
Hm, maybe Ableton isn't the best example - at least in version 8 which I tried I didn't find a good method for time selection. I always had to unfold the tracks before I could select a time range instead of a whole clip which was really annoying for cutting (via CTRL-E).
And you have 'shortcuts': The number keys 1-5! When you want to switch tools only temporarily just keep pressed the appropriate number key!
Another advantage of tools are the touch capabilities they might have in mind for future...(?)

@developers: what might be cool for the cutting tool: being able to drag the curser over a time range and cut it out (for clips/events). I think in the note editor it already works like that.

One important thing missing in the selection tool is the "drag and copy" function, both for clips, audio events and automations. I hope that they will add this asap.

Nah, ableton is cool about it. Very fast and intuative. Here, to duplicate time or clip u have to choose the tool, then u have to slice it up and again, choose the tool. Clumsy...it works different in ableton. I dont say that Bitwig should work totally like ableton. but i think u should pick up the best from other daws.

Also i didnt send it to bugreport yet, so thats not necessary anymore.

Thnx for testing!
Ah, good to hear ;-)

Yeah, RCs should go in a separate folder so you can always fall back on the release version if there should be a problem.

Cheers,

I just noticed that the Export Audio dialogue box now has a "set time range by Loop Region" button !!! THANK YOU!!!!

You should really put all these improvements in your change log!(unless i missed it) It's nice to find hidden surprised but how are we meant to give you appreciation if you don't list all the improved features and everything you've been working on (no matter how small they may be) all worth mentioning! :-)

They usually do when it's released.... it's not quite at that stage yet :)

edit: though I see they already released some notes :dog:
