well, it uses the same licensing, it's not like a free release or anything.... And to be honest, I didn't link to a download, I linked to a link from google when searching for 'Reaper 5 changelog'... didn't even see it was on the place-that-should-not-be-named-yet-is-second-on-google-search...

I think Windows 10 is gonna be a game changer . I have a Ubuntu partition next to my Windows 7 , but I think desktop Linux is dying out . Apple better watch out with Windows 10 coming out , because I'm sure there will be some bad a$$ed tablets and phones with W10 on them too.

Somehow.. somewhere.. this story reminds me of Dubturbo 8)

I can't find any info about Reaper 5 Pre 1! How can I participate in or download it?! Is there any place to apply for being beta/Alpha tester? I'm very interested to see what Version 5 would bring (I think my license till 5.99).
Using: Cubase Pro 15, Reason 13, Tascam US-4x4HR, MODX6, DM12D, LaunchKey 49, Yamaha guitar(Pacifica 612v) and bass (BB234) and some virtual instruments and synths.

You need to check out the Reaper forum - it's all there including the beta if you look.

(I don't care about fight club anymore)

It's not much. Certainly not worth another license.

Yes I found it! It seems there is a pre 2 now. I needed to scroll till the end of the forums. I was searching before that in the General Discussion section.

To be honest I'm fine now with 4.76 especially after I found the theme that almost perfect for me (better than the default one, "Janne .." ). I'm using it more and more now, having a paper in front of me and it is being filled quickly with notes and shortcuts. So, I'm learning just what I need and taking the best approach to do my workflow in it. It is like DIY DAW!

I won't touch the stable version 4.76. It is pleasing to the eyes now with Janne's theme and it seems very stable with my plugins (knock on wood!). I also found all the mappings of Battery 4 kits :D It is so nice then.
Let's try the pre-release now :)

Hardware sequencers sound way better than Reaper. To say Reaper rocks is a typical low rent KVR-tard comment. :hihi:

What up brother!!!
