This is a minor point, but it seems redundant to have the 00 bank in the Local folder be called "User" when there is already a default User bank created on the system, which also shows up in the browser (outside of the 'Local' folder).

Windows users don't have that Local/User split. Only Mac does.mholloway wrote:This is a minor point, but it seems redundant to have the 00 bank in the Local folder be called "User" when there is already a default User bank created on the system, which also shows up in the browser (outside of the 'Local' folder).

Howard, could you tell this noob how to save the Factory Preview presets, provided they are not included in the new release, and then how to add them back?
Also, should we first delete the previous Hive version (after saving the presets) or is it OK to just download the new release over the old one? The first post in this thread isn't clear to me.

Last month i`ve sold a jv-2080 to thailand. They want to use it there for karaoke!zvenx wrote:This probably makes no sense, but you know what the pads on this synth reminds me of?
My lovely, much adored roland jv-2080 which I still have but don't use.....the pads on Hive are reminding me of them....yes I know the jv-2080 is ROM........ but sounded fantastic.

Hey Michael- glad to see the update!
Will we see a release candidate for Linux any time soon, or was build 3466 it? (That's cool if we got it early
)
Should I be asking Abique instead of bugging you?
Are you guys going to continue draining my bank account?
Thanks for continuing to support *nixers!

...If you have to fix it with a computer: quantized, pitch corrected, and overly inspected, then you can't do it, and I can't get behind that!

Played almost an hour just with the first two patches from the showcase folder (Urs' acid patch and the pad from xenos) - very nice (already incorporated the beta in my lastest album).

Abique is moving to Berlin next week or so, we'll get him in on weekends. He's currently fixing a little performance problem. I'm sure we'll have a pretty good Linux VST around or shortly after the releasetomsa wrote:Hey Michael- glad to see the update!

Thanks for the info, Urs! I'm really looking forward to Hive in its more complete state. This synth is just fun to use.Urs wrote:Abique is moving to Berlin next week or so, we'll get him in on weekends. He's currently fixing a little performance problem. I've got to thank you again for supporting Linux as well. Together, you and Bitwig are really making waves (that's a synth pun

Congratulations u-he team! I love this synth. Congrats on a great preset selection as well. I especially love the pads.

Not sure if this has been mentioned before, but does anyone else experience a sliiiiiiiiiight niggle when looking at the blue Undo/Redo buttons while using the Honeycomb skin? If this can still be changed, I think it would be cool.

Hi Howard, what became of your Chorus Bass Factory Preview Patch?
I have been mapping (that is favouriting) all my favourite patches in the factory preview bank to the final and this is one of those that I even tried different names in different banks but didn't hear it elsewhere.
Did you just dump it?
thanks

hey there,
i have a problem/question concerning the latest version of hive: when i flip through the bass presets during midi playback there are many click and pop noises, they range from quiet to very loud - is this how it should be? i'm using the au version in logic pro x
