I had assumed with the purchase of Camel Audio, that Alchemy would be the start of 'in-app' purchases for Logic. Nice surprise!

Not downloaded the 14GB yet, too busy experimenting with adding my old ones. From the list of downloadable content some appear to have similarish names to old libraries (e.g. Cinematic, Atmospheric) so possibly there are some but they are pretty generic terms and I can't see many others. I do think they will add older stuff though over time, whether as extra purchases or freebies who can say? The main thing for me is I can load my old stuff anyway as I had Camel Complete so have all that I need from that.TheoM wrote:are you sure amused the libraries aren't included in the 14gb? None of them?

That could only happen if there was a major earthquake on the west coast USA tomorrow, but then Microsoft and Android/Google would be doomed toowagtunes wrote:I don't know but I hope Apple goes out of business tomorrow.
It's unbelivable that all the major OS HQ's are based close to the San Andreas fault line

Yeah, pretty funny, the Apple bashing.TheoM wrote:How nice of you.wagtunes wrote:I don't know but I hope Apple goes out of business tomorrow.ZentralmassivSound wrote:Sad thing it's Mac only. And rare also. Is there any other commercial VST instrument that is Mac only (or PC only)?
Yet someone else who just can't seem to grasp that this is entirely camel audio's "fault".

Oh come on. Don't tell me you would not do the same if someone is coming to you with a bunch of cash in hand.TheoM wrote:How nice of you.wagtunes wrote:I don't know but I hope Apple goes out of business tomorrow.ZentralmassivSound wrote:Sad thing it's Mac only. Apple saw an opportunity and they took it.

Sure seems a lot of us are still coming to grips with this.

it's impressive, and a lot of kit for $200. i used to own Alchemy, sold my license here at kvr a few years back, so funny to have it in my arsenal again (altho expected, considering apple's purchase).
i don't care what DAW anyone uses, it's the music that matters. but am happy with LX...a lot. and good to see some new features.

I've always admired Alchemy but never really wanted to buy it. Until I know for a fact it's unavailable for PC. Now, for some reason, I want ittrimph1 wrote:Sure seems a lot of us are still coming to grips with this.![]()

The only thing I'm having trouble coming to grips with is that a DAW just released a free X.X update that includes arguably the best soft synth ever made.trimph1 wrote:Sure seems a lot of us are still coming to grips with this.![]()
