That stinks. Which expansion do you not have?Astralv wrote:I am missing one expansion, and I was contacting Izotope asking to upgrade me to Expanded because I paid so much more than it is now, but they won't and expect me to pay $40 to get that last expansion.
Is Breaktweaker Expanded worth $99?

Every time I listen to a video or demo of BT I hear sounds that I think are interesting and have technical merit, but don't sound like "me".
Iris 2, OTOH, if it was a true upgrade to Iris 1 that was backwards compatible and had the feature Iris 1 users requested... well I guess then I would already own Iris 2.

I bought BT when it was released. At that time they only had 3 expansions, so I bought the BT and 2 expansions $39 and $29. There was no bundle. When they released bundle with 4th expansion, they would not give me an upgrade price to get 4th expansion. I am missing BreakTweaker Expansion: Modern Grooves and Vintage Machines. So I am missing two.tonedef71 wrote:That stinks. To me it's the most disappointing product ever. Maybe only because I wanted to make glitchy stuff with it and it was completely useless
for that purpose. The demo content was also super cheesy, maybe there are some gems in the real library I don't know, but it didn't do a good impression

I might have been too harsh so I deleted my original post. I'll leave it at that.

It's worth 90 bucks including all the expansions, but it is a real shame they don't just 'tweak' a few of the things mentioned...it realy wouldn't take much to make this great....
Ps- any one know what's with the sequencer button, it acts like a button but doesn't seem to do anything!I

It's a button that will take you back to the sequencer view from the generator page.SLiC wrote:Ps- any one know what's with the sequencer button, it acts like a button but doesn't seem to do anything!I

I am wondering the same, is it worth getting BreakTweaker having LoopMash and some Reaktor tools?

Ah, cheers - I had just been pressing the little squiggle button that took. E to the generator page again to toggle back....I thought a big glowing button might do more!

I contacted Izotope again about making an upgrade and they told me that they not offering any upgrades so I have to pay $80 just to get 2 libraries I am missing.

Sell your current BreakTweaker in the market with the expansions for $45, someone will bite, and I don't think Izotope will charge a fee (even if it is on iLok). Then go to JRR and for $38 extra you get all four expansions plus BT.Astralv wrote:I contacted Izotope again about making an upgrade and they told me that they not offering any upgrades so I have to pay $80 just to get 2 libraries I am missing.

Just an idea.

Yeah, I was doing the same thing not realizing the big button does that also. You're right about the big button thing also. I would keep pressing it thinking it would do something but it didn't seem to do anything. lolSLiC wrote:Ah, cheers - I had just been pressing the little squiggle button that took.
