Seriously - to the OP - there are many ways to come up with a good name. Try to come up with something that means something to you.
My main name is/was Boc Scadet. A meaningless pair of words.. but, it was actually sprung from a friend of mine who meant to say Basscadet boxset (the name of an early Autechre ep you could get on 10" vinyl boxset) and he said box cadet instead. So, it reminds me of a good evening we spent listening to it and it's as good a name as any in electronica (full of made up words). It also could be translated as Boards-Of-Canada's cadet - I was listening to a lot of boc at the time..
Good luck with it - just ignore us bunch 'a tossers here (no disrespect you cynical lot - me included).

As I remember reading either Rob or Sean interview, they had come up with the name at random, by getting it as an anagram from some text/characters they had put into a computer at the end of the 80'sdo_androids_dream wrote:Audio

Yeah there's quite a few stories about their name - take yer pick. I read about that - 'autechre' was what one of them wrote on an old cassette (I think it was a track title at the time) and, over time, they thought the word looked cool so they stuck with it. The story I told came from a tutor at uni who was employed by Warp for a time - said that's what one of them told him..Numanoid wrote:As I remember reading either Rob or Sean interview, they had come up with the name at random, by getting it as an anagram from some text/characters they had put into a computer at the end of the 80'sdo_androids_dream wrote:Audio
