Its amazing the API still doesn't allow a new device to be added ... its really holds back the fantastic work done by Push2Bitwig.
Will bitwig show us an update at namm and not release it for 6 months?

For plugin visibility issues, make sure you delete the .plist files in ~/Library/Bitwig Studio. I had an issue with Falcon not showing up after an upgrade, this worked it out.

i'm happy if you have all you need inside it...but for me is not the same ,i can create a full track but i really miss some little things that i have in ableton with max (and here i think the devs come from ableton need think about that, bitwig is based on a modular system too so i don't understand why they don't start where ableton arrives after a lot of years ,for example we can starts from some missing midi devices)
i don't understand they continue to don't change logo...i will do myself at this point (thanks to remember me that is is possible) ,but if i need to sell a product i try to make something of nice, normal costumers people look things like this too (this is my point of view after a lot of time in closed alfa and almost 2 years in beta, yes for me wer are in beta now)
about sountoys ,i will try to clear cache, thank you ..hope it slove the problem, but i've never had this kind of problem with other daws

Well to quote Dom from an interview..panox80 wrote:i don't understand why they don't start where ableton arrives after a lot of years ,for example we can starts from some missing midi devices)
"Actually, before releasing something like that, you have to code it"
But anyways I don't think the point was to "start where ableton arrives", Bitwig has a different vision.

different vision = different costumers = different avaiable money = different number of devs works in team = different time release = more unstable program = always more people don't consider to switch in,and this daw could make a lot of great things today if they don't have a different vision (for my point of view)
...as i write in an other discussion ,hope they don't wake up after years because will be too late
....anyway, i'm really curious to see what happen in forthcoming updates

You should use Live... it is going to be a long time before Bitwig catches up to what is available and possible with M4L and it's far bigger userbase.panox80 wrote:i'm happy if you have all you need inside it...but for me is not the same ,i can create a full track but i really miss some little things that i have in ableton with max (and here i think the devs come from ableton need think about that, bitwig is based on a modular system too so i don't understand why they don't start where ableton arrives after a lot of years ,for example we can starts from some missing midi devices)

bitwig should implement a dunning-kruger-effectrack to answer questions like this smart and fast enough.

That's the thing with this "freedom of speech/opinion" thing.
On one hand, sure, go on, lament about what's wrong with the world from your point of view until you drop.
Funny thing is: you actually create the reality you perceive by doing that.
If you repeat it often enough, you will actually believe it and it will be true, since you will act by it. You will always find others that share the same view and as a mob you will feel really good.
You are right, right?
On the other hand: All this point-of-view talk does not help anybody, does not write a single line of code, does not create a new controller script, does not make new ideas available to others, does not share presets and does not make a single piece of beautiful music.
All it does is belittle people you at the same time want to make your DAW vision come true.
Funny way to motivate and support them.
Freedom is awesome, but has to be used wisely to be of actual value.
I personally am very curious what the next steps will be.
I may not agree with every decision the team makes, but I never expected that in the first place.
The software works stable and well here and allows me to do things it's not even made for
Cheers,
Tom

I own Soundtoys 5, and Bitwig had no problems whatsoever 'seeing' it from the moment I installed the suite.panox80 wrote:about sountoys ,i will try to clear cache, thank you ..hope it slove the problem, but i've never had this kind of problem with other daws
